HARTSVILLE, S.C. — Officers, bloodhounds and helicopters continued searching Friday for 47-year-old Kenneth Glenn Hinson, who is wanted in the rape of two teenage girls in an underground room behind his home here in northeastern South Carolina. The two 17-year-olds were abducted and assaulted in a room under a shed on Hinson's property, Darlington County Chief Deputy Tom Gainey said. The girls were left bound but managed to free themselves. Gainey said they opened the trap door in the floor and kick down the shed's door. Hinson, who was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl in 1991, is wanted on kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct charges. There have been no confirmed sightings of him and no confirmed contact with any of his family in the area, Gainey said Friday. Just before his release from prison in 2000 Hinson was recommended for the state's sexually violent predator program, but was rejected during the screening process, the state attorney general's office said. A circuit judge later ruled that prosecutors had failed to show Hinson would likely offend again. "We thought then that the judge made a mistake," state Attorney General Henry McMaster said in a TV interview Friday. "I think events, if all this is true that we hear today — it appears that the man should have gone into the system, certainly." The judge, Edward Cottingham, told WIS-TV in Columbia that he doesn't remember the case and that official court records should reflect the basis for his ruling. Cottingham, a retired but active judge, did not return messages from The Associated Press. The rural road leading to Hinson's home outside Hartsville is lined with mobile homes, many of them with bikes and toys lying in the yards. The neighborhood, which one resident described as "one big family," is about 20 miles northwest of Florence where busy Interstate 95 meets Interstate 20. Tonya Dixon, who moved to the neighborhood about two weeks ago, searched her computer after news of the assaults spread and found Hinson's mug shot on the state's sexual predator list. Dixon she says she would never have moved with her family to a mobile home in a quiet, isolated neighborhood. "They need a big ol' sign in the yard letting people know," said Dixon, 29, who has three young children. Argeree Cooks, who lives with her four grandchildren down the street from Hinson's home, was worried. Her family also did not know Hinson was a sex offender, she said. "Why couldn't they tell us?" she said. "We have seen him. They need to tell people these things."

I’m assuming here that he actually abducted and forcibly raped the 12 year old and we aren’t talking about a “statutory rape” charge. I think that’s a valid assumption since that’s what he did to these two other girls.

Try to twist your mind to imagine doing that. You stalk a little girl, kidnap her, threaten her life, then forcibly rape her… Any normal person is completely revolted by the very thought.

And, when someone shows that they are the kind of twisted freak that will commit a crime like this we decide to lock them up for 9 years? WTF? I mean WTMFingF? This isn’t some guy who burglarized a house or stole a car. It’s not some drug dealer. It’s not even someone who killed a guy in a bar fight or a jealous husband who killed his wife’s new boyfriend.

This isn’t a normal person who saw a profit motive in crime or someone who acted out of anger. This is a twisted, deranged man. This is evil. What makes anyone think that people like this can be rehabilitated? And why, in God’s name, should we expect little girls to pay the price for the hubris of our legal system?

Nine years? Nine fucking years. His first victim is barely old enough to buy a handgun to defend herself with by the time he’s released.

The only smart, compassionate, and practical thing to do for people like that is to shoot them. No torture or humiliation, just shoot them. There’s no point in trying to get revenge or in making them suffer, just shoot them and be done with it. If God decides that they need to be punished in the afterlife then that’s his business. We should just shoot them and let God punish them as he thinks appropriate.

I don’t really want to be the one to shoot the guy; it wouldn’t give me any pleasure. Shooting him would be about like cleaning up an overflowing toilet. It’s a nasty job but someone’s got to do it. So, if no one else is willing then I’ll volunteer to shoot him, and people like him. Hell, I feel so strongly about this, that I’ll bring my own gun and ammo. I’ll use two bullets so the guy dies quickly and doesn’t feel any pain. I’ll even dig a hole and bury the guy. I’m such a nice guy that I’ll even say a little prayer for his soul after I’ve filled in the hole. It won’t cost the taxpayers a cent.

If liberals want, I’ll tell them that the poor misguided rapist is getting treatment and will be released as soon as he’s cured. That way they can feel good about themselves, which is all any liberal really cares about. They can just pretend that the darling rapist isn’t lying in some unmarked grave somewhere.

But if liberals can’t learn to play pretend (like they do with everything else they believe) and look the other way while I shoot guys like this then maybe we’ll just have to lock guys like this up.

I can live with that. I don’t like it, but I can live with it. If Liberals want us to give the prisoners free cable TV, free porn, and hot and cold running KY jelly then I can deal with that too. Sure it costs a fortune to keep people locked up. But that’s just money the liberals would blow on some other silly cause so it’s not a big deal. Lock these people up in frickin luxury prisons for all I care.

But lock them the fuck up and don’t ever, ever, let them out again. We can’t cure them and they aren’t going to see the error of their ways and suddenly reform. And I’m sick of hearing how innocent people end up paying the price when psychopaths are turned loose by our enlightened criminal justice system.

Just imagine the horror those two girls went through because we didn’t shoot that bastard, or keep him locked up for life. Imagine what those girl’s friends and family went through. Imagine the emotional scars those two young ladies will have because we let that guy out instead of locking him up for life or just shooting him.

Ever day it seems like there’s another case like this somewhere. Every day there are more innocent victims because we can’t bring ourselves to do the dirty work of cleaning up the human shit that overflows on society. Well, it’s long past time that we start. We need to get our 1911 plungers and AR-15 mops and clean the shit up.

No, I’m not advocating vigilante action. I’m describing how our legal system should work. People can be falsely accused and the courts should do everything possible to avoid convicting an innocent person. But when someone is convicted beyond any questionable doubt of a crime like this they should be taken out and shot.

Liberals don’t have the moral certainty to deal with crime.

A very good friend of mine did something really stupid when he was a teenager… (Breaking into storage warehouses and stealing crap.) And he got to spend a couple years in prison. He’s not, and wasn’t, evil. He was just stupid.

In my world he wouldn’t have gone to jail. He would have been dragged kicking and screaming to a post outside the courthouse one Saturday afternoon and given a good public beating with a whip or cane. All his friends could have come out and watched. People could have gathered, insulted, and ridiculed him when he started screaming and whimpering in pain.

Then, when the beating was over, a doctor would treat his injuries, the cops would take him back home, tell him “Don’t do that again”, and that would be that. My friend would have suffered in pain for a couple days and would have been publicly humiliated, but he wouldn’t have lost two years of his life.

Prison is a terrible punishment in that it costs you years of your life, you loose your job, your family, your friends, your school. But it’s not much of a deterrent. Yet liberals consider prison to be a good form of punishment and think the public beating punishment I believe in are barbaric… Why?

Because they don’t have to see you suffer in prison. You are out of sight and out of mind. I believe that theft is a bad thing so I can deal with the screams and pleas for mercy from a thief. But liberals aren’t really sure… No moral certainty.

When someone is capable of abducting and raping a little girl I’m confident enough to say that person is too dangerous to be allowed to live. Being a normal compassionate person I’m sure the rapists pleas for mercy would touch my heart. I might  even have a tear in my eye when I shot them in the head. Probably would feel bad for at least a week too. I might cry for ‘Old Yeller’ but I would still put the rabid dog down.

A liberal can’t do that though. They can’t really face punishing anyone. So they send them off to prison to fade away. Then some more liberals release them in a few years, figuring the rapist has truly reformed.

BTW there’s a very important reason why I favor execution by gunfire. It’s fast and painless if you shoot the person right. But more importantly, it’s messy. Blood and brains go everywhere.

Punishing people should NEVER be an easy thing for society to do. We need to face the fact that we are actually killing people for justice. And if we can’t face it then maybe we are executing people for the wrong reasons. That’s why I don’t like the whole lethal injection thing. It’s too clean.
