It's torque that wins races.  I'd put my money on the Lambo...

Even if it couldn't, this car has more class than 100 Vettes, which quite honestly are typical of American auto manufacturing (crap)

White the ugly ass grey-primer-with-gloss paint job.  Looks like a fucking US Govt Studebaker with that paint.  And the car as a whole is quite fugly.

I can honestly say, without any guilt whatsoever, that even if I had a billion dollars liquid I would find a better use for the money than a car like that.  Would I buy a top-of the line $120k Mercedes?  Sure.  A million dollar Lambo?  No fucking way.

I think they both have the same tq , the vette's tq comes in alot lower, and the vette isn't as fat.

I kinda like the color... sort of a glossy battleship grey

The engine of the new Murcielago LP640 has undergone radical modification. The increased bore and stroke have boosted the displacement of the classic 60° V12 from 6.2 litres to 6.5 litres (6496 cc). Thus, the already extraordinary 580 hp has now been elevated to an impressive peak of 640 hp (471 kW) at 8,000 rpm. This means the LP640 can now accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 3.4 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than the previous model), with a top speed of over 200mph.
Torque: 487 lb-ft @ 6000 rpm

DETROIT – The ultimate Corvette—the 2006 Corvette Z06—is posting numbers at the track and on the window sticker that will get attention. Chevrolet has announced that the fastest Corvette ever—the 505-horsepower Corvette Z06—will achieve 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds while still in first gear

505 horsepower (373 kw) @ 6300 rpm
470 lb.-ft. of torque (657 Nm) @ 4800 rpm

Pete,

It's all about what makes you happy..... some people can justify a  500K, SeaRay 40 motor yacht..... some, spend it on a nice house, a nice car, etc....

In the end, it's just material stuff....

Does it really matter?  You don't get a car like that for 'performance'.  Sure, it performs well... But most people will never get the chance to take it to it's limits of performance... therefoer it becomes a 'show' car.  Great for the ladies.  Blows the Z06 away any day of the week on the 'wow' scale.

Funny thing is that I see one of these ever other day or so cruising around my neighborhood, and always in a different color.  Those things are everywhere down here.  I was in the Prestige Imports showroom a couple of months ago and they had about 30 of them stacked side by side inside in every color from lifevest orange to lime green.

ETA:  I see every kind of car like this on a day to day basis around where I live.  Lambos, Ferraris, AMs, Bentleys, you name it.  I never really get sick of them, but the 'coolness' factor wears off after a bit everytime a new model comes out.  The one car that I still get a boner for evertime I see is the Porsche Carrera GT.  Frankly, any Porsche 911 Turbo or greater gives me boner.  I've pretty much had this problem since the birth.  My first ride was in a 1972 911 and it was all downhill from there....  My next vehicle purchase will likely be a turbo model.
