Incredible and such a waste. Lots of pics. Check em out. I think AR15.COM needs to form a massive assault on the building and take these guns back. Who's with me?

I believe that is a South African Neostad shotgun. Pretty rare here in the U.S. There are a lot more pics of the BATF's gun rooms over in Machinegunbooks.com. Pretty neat stuff!

I hope CMMG doesn't mind you posting a link to one of their subdirectories....

I wonder what the story is as these could be evaluation samples...  BATFE weapons for the next WACO, or as suggested seized guns...  If these are evaluations, imagine the prototypes and one of a kind guns that they must have in there!

I think the history channel tales of the gun special said the building was at an undisclosed "secret" location and that they are required to keep at least 1 example of every type of firearm ever made for indentification purposes.

That's a Hotchkiss Universal submachine gun. I think they were made in the late 40s to the early 50s.

Looks like an attempt at a grease-gun copy with a folding stock....

Let it be known that I would happily shoot the dogs of every single ARFCOM member to gain regular and unfettered access to that room and the joyous weaponry contained therein.

One of the Colt Thompsons had "Angola State Prision" carved into the wood --   so IMO probally , for the sake of public safety , they were "impounded"

Of course they paid the $200.00 tax on each and everyone of the NFA items in thier collection.

I doubt it.

Most likely she is related to someone who works in the ATF and was given a private tour or was part of a private tour.

I been able to tour places off limits to the public due to a few contacts in politics.

+1, how many of the guns in those pictures are pre-86? Think about this: for all those congresscritters who love to increase taxes, why not allow the ATF to auction off their "extras" and have the money go to fund the government.

You know what? I'll fuckin' tell what!

I'll bet you that every single one of those guns is transferrable. They are just sitting on the fuckers to keep them out of circulation.

I hate the government.
