Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - need info on a savage rimfire- barrel assembly- threads or slip fit?

I have this gun: savage 93.    It  is a .17 hmr, and i want to put a  suppressor on it.   I have stripped the gun down to the tubular receiver and the barrel.   Yes, i removed the barrel/ receiver pin.   now i want to pull the receiver off- is it threaded or a slip fit?   does the receiver have to be heated to remove it?  

anyone done this before?
