Oh, and I guess no one's threatened Scalia or Thomas.

God, these people are so transparent and biased.

just a contrast to the "rational" fringe, the Court liberals and the academics they pander to.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said she and former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor have been the targets of death threats from the "irrational fringe" of society, people apparently spurred by Republican criticism of the high court.

She's not losing any sleep over it.

The military judges of the old  British courts of admiralty prior to the revolution probably felt threatened too.

"Over the past few months O'Connor has complained that criticism, mainly by Republicans, has threatened judicial independence to deal with difficult issues like gay marriage. "

Yeah, Independence from Constitutional restraint, apparently.

According to Ginsburg, someone in a Web site chat room wrote: "Okay commandoes, here is your first patriotic assignment ... an easy one. Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg and O'Connor have publicly stated that they use (foreign) laws and rulings to decide how to rule on American cases. This is a huge threat to our Republic and Constitutional freedom. ... If you are what you say you are, and NOT armchair patriots, then those two justices will not live another week."

And it doesn't bother her that so many people think shes pissing on the Constitution?

Ginsburg said, "Critics in Congress and in the media misperceive how and why U.S. courts refer to foreign and international court decisions." She said those decisions are used for guidance only.

I thought the Constitution of the United States was supposed to be your guide, you stupid bitch.

Ginsburg feels threatened!?!  GINSBURG feels threatened!?!  Let me tell you what.  I'M the one who feels threatened, threatened by her consistant undermining of the U.S. Constitution.  This foreign law crap is not just some innocent legal theory, it is a direct threat to the freedoms we enjoy.  With almost 200 countries in the world, you can just pick and choose whose law to follow to get any decision you want.  Guns?  Well, lets look to Japanese law.  Oh, surprise, the peasants have been disarmed since the middle-ages.  I guess that means that the 2nd Amendment only applies to the Emperor and his chief Samuri.  Private property?  Lets look to Chinese law.  Oh, surprise, the government can do what it wants with your property.

That bitch is a stone cold tyrant.  Sic Semper Tyrannus.

ding-ding-ding!

The SCOTUS is supposed to use the CONSTITUTION to make a ruling on cases, NOT some other country's rulings. Douchebag.

Justice Ginsberg and her co-conspirators on the Court, in the halls of Congress, and the White House should ALL feel threatened - not in fear of harm, but for fear that VOTERS will finally wake up and direct America from the path of Leftist Socialism to the path of individualism and freedom.

They are an anachronism, exemplars of a failed ideal, supporters of Communism, and self-destructive madmen. They are also a fad that is slowly being ignored as Deadly Reality rears its head - deadly to Leftist Utopianists and their dreams of the U.S.S.A.

Clock's ticking on those assholes.

Tick, tick, tick.

I consider "courts" to be the last bastion of depotism in the world. How do 9 old fucks get to decide law for the rest of us? They are neither elected nor answerable to ANYONE. No not even the constitution. (last time i heard that piece of paper doesnt get up and try to stangle people who betray it) And they get a lifetime appointment!!!!!?????? WTF is that shit??? yeah ok i get that they are'nt supposed to be "influenced" by outsiders hence they dont need to be elected but that doe'nt mean they should weild lifetime ultimate power. At best they should have a time limit. And they shouldnt "legislate" from the bench. Stick to CSI kind of stuff. The will of the people should not be defied by some pinheaded lawyers in black pajamas. ...............

I believe that Marbury vs. Madison was where the court started going into the shitter - and that was like 14 years or so after we formed the USA.
