Exactly! They wouldn't want GUNS, they'd want trained people if they were truly desperate. If there was a need, they could have my ARs and Garands and 1911s, but I'd be coming with them. |

You forget, the Govt HAS asked for them before.
Was many many years ago, but it did happen. Also lend lease happened and they asked for certain types also. Don't think the Brit Govt ever returned them. or even bothered to. |

Cute, but impractical scenario. You have no idea of the storage or manufacturing capabilities of our Nation.
Now if I were asked to donate a weapon to Israel to be used against the muslim hordes, I could probably scare up an SKS, or two.

I remember a line from one of the “Horseclans” novels where Duke Bili demanded that some noblemen give up their armor and horses to help supply the army.
One of the noblemen said something to the effect of, “Where my armor and horse go, I go also.” If things get bad enough that the Military needs my rifle they can have it, but I’m the one going to be carrying it. |

They collected a lot of guns here in the US for the Brits to use in early WWII as they were poolry prepared(fancy that). They were supposed to be returned.
The Brits destroyed them. |
