Thats an older design. No longer in production. Check out AVSForum

And look in the subwoofer section and search. You will find out all you need to know.  Only thing I can say is hear it. See if they will let you "deo" it in your house. If it sounds good to you, it wont matter what others think.

Where can I get a 4 ohm 8" or 10" woofer to replace my ported sub?
I have a cheap 7.1 set for one of my PCs and the sub only goes down to 40hz.
The amps are in the sub itself.
I was thinking of building a larger ported enclosure
to go lower. Or maybe closed. Not sure yet.

I would like to try for at least 30hz.
The sound quality of the speaker should be at least decent.

Is it possible?

Can always go get a car audio sub. Most of them are 4 ohm. I have a JL AUdio 10" to replace and old Radio Shack 10". It roxors.

Are we talking home or auto?

If home, check out these...

I don't know what your budget is, but if you can swing it...go for it.

If you're talking to me, Zip, its for a cheap 7.1 system for a PC.
Nice systems at that site. Maybe when I have the money.
