I'm trying to post pics in a thread but it aint working.  I went to the help section and read it.  Put in the both of the [ img]     ( with out the space and the last one with a / in it) and I got that box with the x in it.

Any suggestions?  Does facebook let you use the pics from there?

Probably not.  This is called hot linking and is considered bandwidth theft, so many sites block you from doing it.

Host the pictures yourself.  Read this.

Go here and create a free account. Download your pics into your album, open the pic, right-click to get to properties and highlight the link. Paste it within img brackets and you're done.

Works great for me.

Have a good one!

This pic was 624K in size when I downloaded it to tallbill.com. Remember, your pics must be smaller than 1024K when you download them.

When I opened it on tallbill.com and copied the url here it was 57K in size, 600x450 pixels.

OK, here's a step by step...

Go to tallbill.com, after you've created your album click on "Upload File" at the top. A window will open asking how many files you would like to upload. Enter a "1" in the upload file box, assuming one pic upload, and click "continue".

In the next window use the "Browse..." button and navigate to where your pic is on your pc. Click on "continue" after you've selected your pic. After a minute click on the next "continue" button. Next screen should show your album you created in the dropdown box at the top. Leave the other boxes blank for now and just click "continue" again. Click "continue" one more time and you should see your pic.

Now, left-click on it and once it is full-screen, right-click on it and select "properties"(size should be about 600x450 pixels). Highlight the entire URL address and paste it in a new message here.

Bracket it - "[ img ]...[ /img ]" and it should show up(no spaces between brackets, I just did that so it would show up as text).

Good luck!

Edit - 533K size is fine, that only about half the size of the 1024K acceptable limit.

Here's another

You are clicking on your pic one too many times. Just click once on the thumbnail of your pic you see listed with all the others. This pic should fill about 2/3 of your screen. Right-click on it and the size should be about 600x366. This is the pic you want to link to.
