I have made a few impluse gun purchases recently. Some I am happy with and others I am still wondering what I bought it for.

Who else buys guns on impluse? And what is your impulse Price?? or The firearm?

For some reason, got a burr up my a$$ to get a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm that takes Glock mags.  Bought it when I walked into the first of many gunshops in town...

ETA: It has been very realiable so far, and I keep it tucked under the seat with 4 17 round Glock mags...  I don't feel I will ever be under-armed in any urban type situation that may unfold while driving.

I bought a Walther P22 when they first hit the shelves for the little lady.

Wasn't happy with it at first, but soon learned that it is ammo picky.

It was my one and only impulse buy...and it turned out really well.

I usually don't have a pocket full of cash to make "impulse buys".....but I did buy a S&W 9mm at a gun show, because I DID have the money, and I HAD to get a new handgun......so far it's be a good weapon, I am bored with it now, and want another......

Went to the pawn shop looking for a stripped lower bout 3 wks ago and saw a 4" 686 Smith sitting there looking at me like I was it's daddy.... I couldn't let a pretty thing like that just sit under glass, so out came the wallet. I wasn't even remotely in the market for one, but it needed me.

I once bought a M1 Garand at the defunct Great Western Gunshow Pomona, Calif(30 miles east of Los Angeles) for $250, bore was so-so, handguards rattled, etc.  But it came with a fired 30-06 case indicating the chamber was at least okay, if it was the case from that gun or not, I would really do not know.  I even took it home that day, no waiting at that time..  Good investment, I could probably sell for $350.

B) another impulse buy exactly like I made within the last two weeks (4" S&W 686)

Last impluse buy I made was a Beretta Storm.  Felt one up at the fun shop(used), did a little looking on the internet that night about them, had one ordered the next day.

Most recent...last weekend...Taurus M85 .38
A few years ago, nice condition .303 British Enfield No.5 Jungle Carbine....all the numbers match....and I got it for $275 with a box of ammo thrown in!

Both times I just happened to be in the store to pick up ammo......and left with a little more than I planned on

When I lived in NJ, there was never any impulse buys, since its impossible to buy without months of paperwork, at least with handguns.

Now I have to stay away from the local shops around payday

The Beretta CX4 Storm(carbine) is awesome - I have one in 45ACP and am pending a deal on a 9mm version, I like them that much.

I considered the .45ACP version, since I have a crapload of ammo for it, but the cost of 9mm was attractive, and I like the idea of mag swapping with the eventual 92 I plan on purchasing.  Eventually though, I will own all 3.

I was looking for ak-47, I bought a yugo for 500.00(  I got ripped and I knew it) I put a bid on it on gun broker and could not retract the bid.(very implusive) I get the yugo and find you can upgrade the weapon easily. thats when  a long came a ak-74, I bought that for 315.00 better deal ( i got it on the EE on here) I then find a ar-15 lower for 215.00 I buy that. I then need to buy a upper, so I again bought a upper for 400.00. basically I started out wanting to buy one ak for around 400-500 dollars and I spent 1430 on three firearms. not mention the 6 30rd mags for the yugo 80.00, 12 mags for the bulgie, the new gun cases 120.00( for 3) ammo and scopes and so on. very expen
sive.......does any one have a k-var stock(stamped) for sale?.....OD green hand guards for a m-4?

I put money down on an AR-15 one day after walking into a gunstore (wound up transferring those funds to a receiver that is now built into my current rifle).  Almost got kicked out of the house for that one...

I also had to give up my AK for my parents to let me keep it (their house, their rules).

Went in to Bass Pro to buy ammo, came out with a new 870. $270 bucks -$40 off at the store - Remington rebate. I got out the door for $172. Can you blame me?

Didn't buy (Read didn't buy yet, too many damn options) but went to my last gunshow to look for a nice O/U or good semi-auto for upland hunting, came out with an estimate on my dream AR. I never even like ARs that much before. Now I have BRD and a headache from trying to decide what kind of damn rifle I want.

My only impulse buy was during the ban. I HAD to have this Pre-Ban Norinco UF, so i bought it.

I think it was about 1200. Ended up getting rid of it about 6 months before the Ban ended
