Hmm. "Weirdest" I've had:
escargot (tasted like the buttersauce it was in) rabbit (nothing special, but certainly not bad) gator (chewy but pretty good) bison (tasted about like very lean beef with 10% deer mixed in) quail (yum!) raw quail eggs (Had it at a sushi place as part of a dish. Nothing special) And in the Weird-To-Some category: beef tongue (tougher than most cuts, but WONDERFUL flavor) venison (great stuff) fried chicken livers (Drool) fried chicken gizzards (Thought they were livers. They sucked. Never again.) raw oysters (slurpy goodness) any and all sushi (manna from heaven) (this includes many types of raw seafood, eel, roe, squid, octopus, etc) |

Spent all my money on beer while camping and forgot to buy food, tried to eat frogs and carp which we shot with a bow setup for fishing, OMG ! Dont try to eat a carp. Just dont, and F those frog legs too, horrible. sold some camp furniture to a roadside stand and used the money to buy bread and eggs and beans and peanut butter , lived on that for almost 2 weeks, and of course the beer

My wife and I spent 6 months in Australia while she was finishing her masters back in 95
I tried Kangaroo and we made "green ant lemonade" out of the gren ants in Northern Australia near Darwin. SOUR!!!! We sweetened it with sugar bag honey. Good times.....Good times |

Traditional Chinese Wedding Food -- sea cucumbers, squid, fish heads (you're supposed to eat the 'cheeks'). Weird stuff... and that's saying something since I come from a background of raw fish, raw octopus, raw abalone! But even my Japanese heritage couldn't get me past that fancy Chinese food (it must have been expensive, too)

Big white grub worms roasted over an open fire, not bad with a little salt.
Small fish/minnows - Just swallow them whole and alive, you can feel them flop around on the way down Water Buffalo Rattlesnake Frog legs Turtle (Cooter) Raccoon (boiled and shredded then simmered in BBQ sauce most of the times I have eaten it, excellent) Goat Then all the typical hunting game: Whitetail, Mule deer, Antelope, Elk, Squirrel, Rabbit, Dove, Turkey, Pheasant, Quail, Ducks |

The venison is part of the Stuffed Venison Mushroom appetizer, the Buffalo is our Buffalo burger, the Alligator is an appetizer and fried, Sea Urchin is on the Sushi menu (Uni), and the quail egg is as well. The venison and buffalo are new items that are on the menu as of tomorrow.  . Btw, we have conch and calamari across the menu as well.
