Illegal Immigrants Robbed at Gunpoint in Yuma County



YUMA, Ariz. (AP) -- Another group of illegal immigrants has become the target of robbers in Yuma County.

The Yuma County sheriff's office says two armed men held up a dozen illegal immigrants last evening about two miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

The robbery was reported after the immigrants were arrested by Border Patrol agents.

The victims said they were confronted by two men armed with handguns and ordered to get on the ground and empty their pockets of any pesos.

The robbers then fled south toward Mexico.

The Yuma County sheriff's office in the last month has investigated robberies involving at least two other groups of illegal immigrants.

That they're illegal doesn't mean they should be crime victims.   That's just plain wrong.  Now, if we catch the culprits, it's SSS.

Yea, it happens.  About a week ago, they encountered one of the bandits that was armed with a .44.  He fired first, he lost...
