I'm pretty sure they have to have surgery.

ETA: Of course it's dependant on weight lost. I think age may have something to do with it as well, but not exactly sure on that.

Thats what Im afraid of. She is still a hottie but the extra skin kills her figure when wearing a swim suit. She has already decided to get surgury but $ is a issue.

She told me that at her max weight she was at 200lbs now shes 130lbs. Shes still pretty young which probably helps a lot shes only 22.

Man, when I read 'significant', I was envisioning a 400lb'er going down to 130 or so!

In the very least there will likely be  a bunch of stretch marks. How long was she at 200?

No, it doesn't. Bill was around 50 years old and about 350 when he went on a diet. When he was done one guy at work looked at him and  said "Goddam Bill, your startin' to look like the scrotum of an 80 year old man!" This pissed him off so much that he is now 60, and back up to 350! True story.

The burn wards will really appreciate the extra skin if whe chooses to have it removed.  It's not unheard of for really obese people who make drastic lifestyle changes to donate their unneeded epidermis.

EDIT: It doesn't really sound like she's got enough extra to be useful to burn victims...but who knows.  If she elects for surgery it's worth asking the docs.

I was close to 400 pounds once.

Let me answer your question.

No.

It does to a degree, but, not totally.

Oh well.

There was nothing beter than somone that jiggled
outrunning some super shape guy on the pt test.

I used to love outrunning people.

I'm not, nor have ever been body beautiful.....

That said, I loved watching my peers underestimate me and, then, get smoked
by me.  Revenge is best served cold.   After i beat them, they used to go over and cool down, and, I'd walk right over there and, cool down with them.

I enjoyed that alot.

"Man, it must suck to get outrun by a fatboy, huh?"

Did I mention I wasn't well liked?

Try giving her a Preparation H rubdown three times a week for a couple of months.  YMMV.

It will tighten up somewhat, depends on how obese they were to start and probably age as well as genetic factors.

The stretch marks are there to stay I am afraid.

You need to rub cocoa butter on the stretch marks.  After a month of everyday use, you should see a differance.  If not, at least you had fun rubbing a chick with lotion for a month.

seriously cocoa butter should help the strectch marks.

If they take it as a donation, do they do the operation for free?

Maybe that's how she can afford it.

Your weight didn't come on overnight and if it comes off too fast that is what you get(excess skin)loose it slow with exercise, and the skin will contract with the weight loss!

Stretch marks are usually from rapid gain and loss!

Take your time and the loss will be less profound!!!

1000 lb. man down to 400, has 80 lbs of skin and fat removed.  Had bypass.

I wonder about some of the contestants on that show "The Biggest Loser".  The girl that won looked like her skin shrunk up pretty good but then these people did a lot of working out.  Maybe that's the key...that and being younger.

my wife went from about 170 to 125-130 pounds (it varies) . She actually weighed 200 when she was pregnant. She has very little loose skin now, just around here stomach from the 2 pregnancies and it is not really noticeable now. She works out and eats right, and most of the loose skin if not nearly all has went away. BUT, I would think it could depend on your build/metabolism/body size, etc.

Is it so bad is makes you sick, or is it just a little noticeable??

Damn ... I hope the bypass operation keeps working for him.
