Don't know if this a dupe or not, just left the local gun shop where the owner told me to stock up on ammo before the 30th of April as there was a nationwide tax on ammo comming. Is this true? Sorry if it is a dupe

Well, there has been a national tax on all ammunition sold since 1937 (Pittman-Roberston Act). Nothing new happening at the end of April this year.

I haven't heard anything like that. It's probably just a dupe. But i have noticed price increases in ammo. I beleive his is due to the war and gas prices. The more ammo they use for the war, the less we have to buy. If the gas prices are high, then shipping will cost more. Just what i've heard though.

I have heard that due to the rising cost of materials that some ammunition manufacturers will be raising their prices in April.

Oh hell no.   I saw 20 round boxes of Wolf at last weekend's gun show for $5.99 a box.   Hell, with the tax they could rise to $6.99 a box!  We are so screwed.
