I'm graduating from college in May, and I'm mailing out resumes this week. Anyone know of states that should be avoided (other than CA and MA) that aren't gun friendly?

As a life long born & raised resident of Michigan, I pains me to say that this state doesn't have a bright future.  Our economy continues to decline.  Too much government sucking too much money out of productive people & redistributing it to the societal parasites.  Those able to retire are fleeing for more tax freindly states & taking their pensions with them.

Our gun laws are actually improving.  CCW is rather easy to obtain and the most recent gain was the States Atty General's opinion that Class 3 hardware IS legal for residents to own.  BATF just concured & they are processing forms.

Kansas.

No MG's, suppressors or CCW.
Can have SBR's though.  Yay.

Illinois.
Probably the worst state in the union for gun laws/political corruption.
You have to register as a gun owner with the gov't there.
Yes, you have to carry a little card around, and no they don't have to grant you the "privilidge" of owning guns.
It's a fucked up state.

You just cant make SBS's.  If the weapon leaves the factory as an SBS you can own it.  Elmore's has them for sale.

Plus they put peanuts in their coke. Strange dudes, but didn't they recently make a movie about a couple of TX cowboys on a mountain or something?

There is still no CCW at all and no full-auto allowed in Kansas.

I understand that in Florida it's still illegal to live with a person of the opposite sex unless you are married.

If your wife or girlfriend gets raped in South Dakota and gets pregnant, it's illegal to get an abortion.

I believe Ohio has some strange magazine capacity limits.  And of course New Jersey bites the big one.

Louisiana

For multiple reasons.

*Looking to make a quick buck on Texans by setting up "Casinos" near the border.
Mind you these are nothing like real casino's, if you've ever been to LV/NV.

*LEO's mad-dogging the Texan traffic to and from the said "casinos".

*Governor quick to go on the defensive and blame the POTUS for slow reaction (hurricane)
and to supply federal aid

*Weirdo FruitLoop Mayor Wannabe Mayor of the Highest unsolved violent crime / highest petty (sp?) crime in the country and even before we were a country.

*Seemingly the entire State is still mooching off of Federal aid even after unloading half its citizens
in to Texas.

*The State blames President Bush for the hurricane (forget which one as it is ancient history now) and acts of God.   And then demands federal aid after said blaming.

For all intensive purposes, it doesn't look as if La. will ever recover from a storm and flood a long time ago.  They will lie /cheat and steal their way into the nothing State that they were to begin with.

Amen brother....Amen.
Haha. I was just about to say the same thing. Job market might suck but we loves our guns...and the beer.
And the peanut in the coke thing, I've done that before when I was little. It's pretty good actually. Don't knock it until you try it.

Let me add Pennsylvania to the list.

You can't buy fireworks in PA unless you can prove you don't live there.

Alabama is great for CCW (inexpensive and easy to obtain with a clean record).

FA and suppression is OK (and sign-offs usually aren't a problem), but SBS/SBRs are currently prohibited (we're working on that...).

Lots of good places to shoot and hunt, generous hunting seasons/limits, and even some decent training opportunities available.

If you're conservative come to Orygun. We are Class III friendly, have "shall issue" CCW and need more conservatives to counter Portland and Ewwwwwgene.
