what are some of the best Cold War themed/era films you know of?

I like Ice Station Zebra, we had to watch it for my Cold War class....this is the only one I remember, though I saw at least 10 films or so from various years (1915-1980, even before the Cold War started). Some films we saw were pro-Russian films, before the Cold War had begun, really interesting propaganda.

I guess I'm going to have to say the original "Fail Safe."  Excellent show.

Strategic Air Command with Brigadier General Jimmy Stewart was pretty good.

The Bedford Incident

One my favorites.

I liked the depiction of the scientists and the underground agents in Firefox. They weren't a central part of the plot, but the movie did a rather decent job of portraying what life was like for politically disfavored people in the USSR.

All the above plus "Bombers B-52" with Rock Hudson.

Jet Pilot, with John Wayne.

Not really. It was a pretty crappy movie, but I can't help but watch it when it's on.
