I ordered this through the sportmans guide and it is everythig they claim +

Holy Bob Villa Batman that is exactly what I need. Are those 2 X 4s? Just cut them to the length you want?

Yep, The easy way to do it is lay the plywood out on the floor after you have it the size you want and lay the 2x4's around the perimeter and attach the 2x4's to each other with screws. Once you have made all three frames them you lay the frame in the lower section first and then drop the plywood in on top of the frame and secure with screws and repeat with the next 2 sections. It was as easy as i described. The heavy duty plastic corners have pre drilled holes to attach the corners to the 2x4's. |

You would if you saw the stablity and ease of the contruction. The heavy duty plastic corners make it self leveling and sturdy as hell. I could have used 4x4 for the corners and a slight saving but you wouldn't get the stability this has. Inside the corners there are shelves that hold the 2x4's. |

Just a thought here guys but If you use plywood for the lower shelves (lighter) and MDF for the top for stability you will need to trim the MDF, it came in 49" X 97"
I said WTF? I recommend using 3/4 inch MDF for the top. |

These benches are actually pretty good, especially for a reloading set up.
The recommendation for the MDF top is good, as it is dense, flat, and smooth. I would seal it with some oil then wax it so it would be non stick. One other point, MDF isn't very strong and can't span 4X8 feet without support. It would be a good idea to put some 2X3 or 2X4 "joists" under the top so it would add rigidity and strength to the top. Glue and screw the MDF top to its frame. |
