… but I could argue with the validity of the test.

There are two distinct kinds of “race” genetic, and "cultural."

It would simply be impossible for every genetic race to be precisely equal in every category. However there’s enough overlap and whatever differences exist are so minor that you can’t judge someone based on skin color.

Culture is an entirely different thing. And a person’s cultural race plays is a major factor in determining what kind of person they are. For the test, I assumed they were strictly focusing on genetic race and not cultural race which is why I scored so low.

Take the music questions as an example. Rap music is part of the African American culture while Country music is primarily a Southern American music. Obviously plenty of white people like Rap, but most of them are at least trying to identify with the African American culture to some extent. I’ve known a few Black people who loved Country music, but they were all more closely tied to mainstream American culture than they were to African American culture.

There was a question about Mexican vs. European immigrants. Well I don’t care about their skin color but I do care about the culture. I view people of Mexican ancestry that adopt the American culture (and language) as being fully as American as I am. But Mexicans who come here and insist on still being Mexicans just need to go home. I answered this question based on genetics and not culture so I come off as a non-racist.

In reality I wouldn't say I'm a racist, but I'm definately prejudiced. Living in Detroit for as long as I did definately helped me develop negative feelings towards blacks.
