The anti's argue that it is a collective right so the states can form militia's.... blah, blah, blah.

Ashcroft,  the NRA and pro-gun groups support that it is an individual right.

The answer is simple.  Yes, the states have the right to form militias, and individual citizens were guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms because it was their personal weapons they were expected to bring to the party.

Interesting how "the people" is interpreted by the antis to be a collective right with respect to the second amendment, yet "the people" as refered to in several other amendments is interpreted as an individual right.

I've never seen anyone use this rationale to support second amendment rights as an individual right.
