My wife wife has Lurpak butter and Danish cheese the next time she goes shopping. I drank the hell outta Carlsberg when I went to denmark in '82. We used Lurpak butter when I was stationed in Spain as well.

Fris is danish, and it is really good vodka. Granted, Denmark is not really a vodka country (since the Danish vodka-like drink is akvavit - which is essentially a potato-based schnaps with various herbs). But, the people who make Fris have figured out how to make a damn good vodka. (Indicated by the crown they are allowed to display on the bottle). Distilled six times, and very smooth. |
