Taylor Controversy
(AP and KFAQ) Records in Oklahoma and Florida indicate Tulsa mayoral candidate Kathy Taylor voted twice in the 2000 presidential election.

Mary Cooney with the Supervisor of Elections Office in Broward County, Florida, says Taylor voted in person in the March 14th, 2000, primary and voted by absentee in the November seventh general election.

Oklahoma Election Board Secretary Gene Pace says voter records in Tulsa County show Taylor also voted in the November election in Oklahoma. Edited to add: Florida was a swing vote state in 2000!

After refusing to answer the allegations on Tuesday morning, Taylor later held a news conference claiming the information is false and blamed the Don McCorkle campaign for releasing the information. McCorkle, who faces Taylor in the Democratic primary, had urged Taylor to drop out of the race as a result of the allegations. Taylor claims she did vote in Florida, but not in Tulsa and blamed faulty information in Tulsa for the flap.

The latest report comes after reports Taylor and her husband owe more than 130-thousand in back taxes and fines in Florida.

Taylor recently resigned as Oklahoma's commerce secretary to run for mayor in Tulsa.
