Just wondering, I see a lot of aftermarket ones, and interesting caliber change outs for the sigs, just wondering if anyone else made a factory one.

I think beretta does.  I've seen 92 target models, but I'm not 100% if they're aftermarket or not

Beretta had a competition model with the safety on the frame (sweet).  I think it was a SA, IIRC.
Doesn't SIG make a competition model of the P229 (sport ?).  Unfortunatley, I don't know if they make it in 9mm.

Beretta made the Steel-I and the Millenium.  Both were single action, frame mounted safety, versions.  They shoot good, but they're about 40 ounces empty.  Sig makes the P226 X-Five designed for competition.  Full stainless steel with magwell, etc.  It's got the best darn trigger I've ever felt.  Single action and external safety.  Yeah buddy!  If you're rich you could always dig up a Langden Sig.  MJD

By 'comp' do you mean compensated or competition? If competition, yes, a lot. If compensated, yes, a couple, I believe.

That was my question as well. Different answers depending on how each poster is intepreting your question.

sorry didn't get back to the board yesterday.
I meant compensated.
I have only seen the glock C models as factory ones.

I was mistaken, the X-five from Sig is not comped, however, the 226 Sport pistol is.  It's also 9mm caliber.  I don't know about the 229 Sport, it may be available in 9mm as well.  MJD

In that case springfield makes a factory compensated version of the XD 9 pistol.

Didn't really like the xd's might as well be a glock, and the grip saftey slot bit into my hand.
I will take a look at the sigs.
Anyone else make one?

Springfield Armory also offers, or used to offer, V-12 barrel porting on one or more of their 1911's.  I don't know the model number(s) for the particular pistol, but I'm sure with a little digging you could find it.  MJD

The 226 is not comp'd.  From the site:

Both the P229 Sport and P220 Sport feature a ported compensator. These units employ a muzzle brake with an expansion chamber to soften recoil and help prevent muzzle rise, thus improving on-target accuracy for second and subsequent shots. The compensator is removable on the P220 Sport. The P226 Sport is equipped with a weighted frame extension and extended barrel.
