The second ( stupid ) one looks like it was a clean lung shot,  you can see the air ( mist ) blowing out his side when he exhales.

Oh, you're from California, I should explain. In the other 49 states, people enjoy hunting animals, and some of them even eat their prey.

I hope you don't think your pork chops died of natural causes.

Well, if you're shocked by pigs dying, and you happen to have a "CA" under  your handle, you're certainly deserving of some geographic heckling.

Maybe he thinks that all shots ring true or some such nonsense.

It's nice to instantly kill your prey with a single shot, but with a name like 'realwar' you'd think you'd understand that isn't nearly the case often enough with humans or animals.

Lungs are mighty close to hearts.  It's just the way it is.

Actually, it is.  Pigs are a big pain in the ass, and are considered a nuisance at most ranches in Texas.

Incidentally, I've only ever hunted outside Cali unless you count planted quail for training bird dogs.  I'd really like to go after some mule deer and mountain goats some day though.

X2 on the "That's nice"

A deer hunting Texas native (Kingsville good enough for you?) Californian that won't shoot over a feeder ever again.

The video won't play for me at work, but I'm amused by some of the responses.  What did you think happened when something gets shot? Now, I don't hunt, (gotta have $$ to hunt in Texas or own property) but I deal with gunshot people just about every other day, (mostly suicides)  It's pretty unpleasant,  but that's reality.

Do those things make better bacon than what you get at Safeway?

I saw a similar video of an Elk getting hit in the lung up in Montana. It was in the snow I think; a very cold day. The lung wound was spewing blood mist just like that hog, as well as a funnel of steam like 100 friggin' tea kettles. It was a hell of a sight. It didn't last very long.

Holy crap, ANOTHER California hunter! What's that, 5 so far in this thread? (6 counting freeride21a but he moved last year and I accidently counted him before)

You guys better lay low or swingset will draw down a geographical heckling on your asses!

Yup, I stand corrected. California is apparently mostly conservative hunters, and not the liberal bastion of retards, whiners and liberal pussies I once thought it was. So, how long till you guys get your AW's back?

Yeah, thought so.

Oh, the dreaded "when will you get your AW's back" retort.....  The true sign of intelligent life in OH

Of course OH and TX don't have dumbass politicians, liberals, eco-freaks or any of the other 'Kommiefornia' things.  Take a look at the red/blue map of CA from the last pres election and you'll see that the dem counties were around SF, LA, Sac & SD - the major urban areas.  I suspect other states had a similar phenomenon....
