I dont really like any of the Zombie movies.

I do enjoy the life saving informational documentaries that were produced though.

Good list...I just watched LOTD the other day, it wasn't bad at all....I like the idea of the 'War Wagon', etc.

I have to say that I'm NOT a big fan of the genre...but I 'collect' DVD's/Movies, and enjoy the 'killing Zombies' strategy, etc.

I caught the original DOTD ('78) last year while working in Korea.
It had been at least 8 years since I'd seen it.
I was reminded how comical and ridiculous it was when compared to the remake.

DOTD 2004 was infinitely better.

IMO, allowing yourself to get bitten by a conventional, slow-moving zombie is like allowing yourself to be run over by a glacier...

After you've encountered DOTD 2004's fast-moving zombies, everything else is JUST PLAIN LAME!

My favorite was DOTD 2004.  The originals are alright but they're just too dated anymore...

Land of the Dead was pretty stupid w/ the thinking Zombies, but it had some decent action...

The original Dawn of the Dead.

A guilty pleasure would be Hell of the Living Dead.

Dawn of the Dead (1978) - Great characters you could get attached to, social commentary, a classic.

28 Days Later is NOT a zombie film. The only thing the newer zombie films have are good effects, not much else.

DienBienPhu54 - Shock Waves is a great flick. I'm still looking for the st, not sure if any was ever released.

I love the original Night of the Living Dead the best.  It had a sense of dread and doom that the other Romero films lacked where he substituted sophmoric humor and social 'commentary'.  I like the 2004 DOTD for the same reason, it was a horror movie who's laughs only added to the atmosphere.

My fav was the remake of NotLD with Pat Tallman.  But coming a close second is this gem from Australia:
Undead (2003)

Need to re-watch it.

Undead?  Watched it....in fact so excited about it (as I waited for 2+ years for it to come out in US) I bought it first.  A stinker IMO.  And that from a HUGE zombie fan.

As for Dawn '78, I've been to Monroeville Mall (Monroeville, PA) and the local air strip where it was filmed back then so I am emotionally invested in this movie.  Got pictures of me holding the same gas nozzle held by Roger as he fueled the helicopter and the zombie got his head chopped off.  VERY COOL!

I gotta get those pics uploaded and hosted online so I can post some!  Standing in front of the airport building where Peter is almost shot by Fly-Boy...QUESTION. What was his real characters name...how about the actors name who played him?  I know, I know, I should get a life!

Southern Comfort starring Powers Boothe.
