A couple of weeks ago, someone on here helped me out by naming a song I heard in an online video compliation. That song was "Pride" by Soil.
I want to burn a kick ass CD for working with really hard edgy agressive songs like that. Start up a list please! |
Get the Dawn of the Dead 2004 version although it isn't recorded by Disturbed. |
Be Aggressive by Faith No More
I love that song. I love that album. GO! FIGHT! GO! FIGHT! WIN!!!!!!!!! |
Get some old stuff by Suicidal Tendencies, SOD, Black Flag, JFA, and other early to mid 80's skate punk bands.
Someone Left the cake out in the rain- Jimmy Webb
I started a Joke- Bee Gees Walking on Sunshine- Katrina and the Waves And pretty much anything by REO Speedwagon. |
Devildriver-hold back the day
Mudvayne-determined god forbid-anti hero Trivium-pull harder |
I'll give you my gym playlist. They're not as agressive as some of the other suggestions, but they'll get you pumped:
Welcome to the Jungle- Guns'N'Roses Highway to Hell- ACDC Guerilla Radio- Rage Against the Machine Stupify- Disturbed M.I.2 Theme- Limp Bizkit Mama Said Knock You Out- LL Cool J (Yeah, yeah I know) Sleep Now in the Fire- Rage Against the Machine Awake- Godsmack Break Stuff- Limp Bizkit (my personal favorite) Hells Bells- ACDC Enter Sandman- Metallica Chop Suey- System of a Down Free- Powerman 5000 Night Train- Guns'N'Roses Wake Up- Rage Against the Machine Down With the Sickness- Disturbed We Will Rock You- Queen (it works) Dragula- Rob Zombie Faith- Limp Bizkit Mudshovel- Staind When Worlds Collide- Powerman 5000 Toxicity- System of a Down Back in Black- ACDC I Stand Alone- Godsmack We Are the Champions- Queen (it works too) and these last two are only if I'm running that day Eye of the Tiger- Survivor Chariots of Fire- John Williams |
Just pop in "Great Southern Trendkill" and your good to go! Vide Infra by Killswitch Engage is a pretty good one that comes to mind. Fugue (A revelation) by Trivium is another. |
MegaDeth:Holy Wars...The Punishment Due
I find Black Sabbaths 'Hole in the Sky' to be a very motivating/inspiring influence though |
I dont know if its just me now that I think about it, but Fast agressive songs relax me. Slower sappy depressing songs make me pissed and agressive???
I'd stick to anything by:
Dimmu Borgir Children of Bodom In Flames and of course, Slayer. I listen to all those bands daily. |
Fucking Hostile....Pantera
Determined....Mudvayne I Will Be Heard...Hatebreed This Is Now...Hatebreed Live For This...Hatebreed Something to Die For...Lamb Of God Where Strides The Behemoth...Mastodon March Of THe Fire Ants...Mastodon Blood and Thunder...Mastodon Four Horsemen...Metallica Creeping Death...Metallica Blitzkrieg...Metallica Am I Evil...Metallica Loyalty...American Head Charge |

Motorhead-Ace Of Spades
The Clash-White Riot Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel- I'll Meet You In Poland Baby |

Stealing Fire (1984) TN-57
Artist: Bruce Cockburn Total Duration: 42:00 (9 tracks) If I Had a Rocket Launcher (4:59) here comes the helicopter -- second time today everybody scatters and hopes it goes away how many kids they've murdered only god can say if i had a rocket launcher...i'd make somebody pay. i don't believe in guarded borders and i don't believe in hate i don't believe in generals or their stinking torture states and when i talk with the survivors of things too sickening to relate if i had a rocket launcher...i would retaliate on the rio lacantun one hundred thousand wait to fall down from starvation -- or some less humane fate. cry for guatemala, with a corpse in every gate if i had a rocket launcher...i would not hesitate i want to raise every voice -- at least i've got to try. every time i think about it water rises to my eyes. situation desperate echoes of the victims cry if i had a rocket launcher...some sonofabitch would die (CHIAPAS, MEXICO AND TORONTO -- FEBRUARY AND APRIL 1983) |

MIKE & THE MECHANICS Song Lyrics
Silent Running (From the album "MIKE & THE MECHANICS") Take the children and yourself And hide out in the cellar By now the fighting will be close at hand Don't believe the church and state And everything they tell you Believe in me, I'm with the high command Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? There's a gun and ammunition Just inside the doorway Use it only in emergency Better you should pray to God The Father and the Spirit Will guide you and protect from up here Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? Swear allegiance to the flag Whatever flag they offer Never hint at what you really feel Teach the children quietly For some day sons and daughters Will rise up and fight while we stood still Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? Can you hear me, can you hear me running? Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you? Can you hear me running (can you hear me calling you?) (Can you hear me) hear me calling you? (Can you hear me running) hear me running babe? (Can you hear me running) hear me running? Calling you, calling you |

From "ElectricLladyland"
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) Lyrics Well, I stand up next to a mountain And I chop it down with the edge of my hand Well, I stand up next to a mountain Chop it down with the edge of my hand Well, I pick up all the pieces and make an island Might even raise just a little sand 'Cause I'm a voodoo child Lord knows I'm a voodoo child I didn't mean to take you up all your sweet time I'll give it right back to you one of these days I said, I didn't mean to take you up all your sweet time I'll give it right back to you one of these days And if I don't meet you no more in this world Then I'll, I'll meet you in the next one And don't be late, don't be late 'Cause I'm a voodoo child Lord knows I'm a voodoo child I'm a voodoo child |

Dead bodies everywhere by Korn... I listen to it when I run and it keeps me motivated...
Slayer "Raining Blood" "Angel of Death" "Hell Awaits" "War Ensemble"
Sepultura "Territory" 'Propoganda" |
Check out a CD by Feinstein - Third Wish. It's one of the best ass-kicking old school Metal that I've heard since Heaven and Hell came out in 79/80. Dave 'Rock' Feinstein's site is : Rock Feinstein's Site |
Damn, that picture looks a lot like Diane Feinstein. |
Nightwish
Disturbed Godsmack Adema Korn Monster Magnet Nine Inch Nails Rammstein Powerman 5000 Rob Zombie Union Underground To name a few. |
Actually, just get the albums "Reign in Blood" by Slayer and "Chaos AD" by Sepultura. That music can level villages. IIRC, soldiers have always blasted Slayer to scare and psych out opponents.
staind : suffocate, can't believe, open your eyes, pressure
slayer : tormentor, seasons in the abyss, angel of death, south of heaven godsmack : i fuckin hate you, alive, best i ever did, I stand alone, keep away, straight out of line, make me believe those are a few to get you started. |
Dude, Metallica is IMPLIED! |
Blackened is better than Master of Puppets. |
+1 Also Kings of The Carnival Creation by Dimmu Borgir. Come on, any song with the line "Peace means reloading your guns" in it has to be good and you know it |
+1 Kick Ass songs!! |
