It's a woman, that I believe used to be a man (god I love SF)
One story it was she was a sniper in the 98th and an other was she was in the 97th.
She carried a Russian SU-88 (Whatever that is?) STRAGANOV (Think she meant to say Dragunov) ANTI-TANK RIFLE.

When I mentioned I'm into AR15's, she says "AK is better, it can shoot the AR's ammo, that's why guys in Nam' used to ditch them for AK's and that's why the Russian's liked em' so much"

Well I found a SU-88. If she fired this a shoulder weapon then you have more to sorry about than catching her in stories.

Anti-tank rifles were common at the beginning of WWII.  Since armor was light a nice heavy rifle round could penetrate the armor and make life un-healthy for those within.  As the armor grew heavier it took a shot from the sides or rear to do any significant damage.  It was worth your life to take the shot with enemy infantry about since you had to be visible to get a good shot in and stay there to take a second shot.  Not veyr portable weapons, but when it is all you have to take out the enemy tanks . . . but not in use in wars since then, not in any quantity if you want to be charitable.

As for the wo-MAN . . . whatever.

No guns shows for this freak of nature.
Rather small person not capable of telling the truth, or sholder firing a SU-88

Can't wait to report on more stories. I'm tempted to ask questions to provoke more stories, but in the end I just tend to keep my distance from IT.

One of those people that just has to being able to talk about any subject possible, even if they don't know what they're talking about .
