My reasons for wanting one are first that I'm Polish and I don't have any Polish guns and second that I can get one for $180. Perhaps these stupid reasons to want a gun, but I have bough guns for worse reasons.

Any reason why I shouldn't get one? Are they unreliable? Anybody have one?

I wouldn't mind if anyone posted pics of their P-64 either.

Asking us if we'd get a gun without seeing its pic is like asking us if we'd screw some chick without seeing her pic.

Nothing particularly special, but cool in it's own way.

Watch your hand webbing. Mine would just rip up my hand.

If I was going to get a Polish gun, it would be a Radom pistol. those are pretty cool.

Too big!

I had a chance to fire a post sample 63. Neat little gun. Open bolt 9mm mak makes for a VERY controlable gun! Jumped up on my list of favorite FAs after that!

Steve, they're not a Mak in quality of design - but they are a good shooter.  I don't think you'll regret it if you buy one.  Probably enjoy the hell out of it.

As was mentioned, if you have a big hand, watch that slide coming back when firing, it'll tear into the web between your thumb and index finger.

Yes . . . you need to get one  ! !

Believe me . .  these are QUALITY built small frame autos.  About the size of a Walther PPK.  I liked my first one so well I bought a second one.  Get one now before they are all gone.

Caliber of 9X18, or 9Mak.  Mag holds six rounds.  Both of mine have been 110% reliable with ball ammo (read reports that some people were having problems with the 115/120 grain HP ammo -- seems to be a little out of spec for length). Use Silver Bear, Brown Bear, Wolf, Chinese, etc -- all goes "BANG !"  May be a little snappy in recoil, but if my 14 year old can shoot it you can too  ! !

Only one minor problem -- the double action trigger pull must be 20 pounds  ! !

However . . . . easy to fix ! ! !

Contact Wolff Gun Springs and order a 18 pound hammer spring for a Walther PP.  Makes the double action pull sooooooooo much easier  !

For the money these make GREAT -- and reliable -- pocket autos . . .

Are these DA/SA, or DA only?

Do they have a decocker?

DA/SA . . .

Safety (mounted on slide) works as a decocker also.

GREAT pocket autos  ! ! !

Well made but have the absolute worst DA trigger I've ever felt.

I just bought one and plan to do the fix BankerBilly posted. Here are a couple links for more info.

I own one. Nice gun. Trigger pull out of the box is bad.
You will want to get the DA trigger pull lightened / smoothed. I did and I like the gun.

On mine even the single-action trigger sucks, but it is nice to own a Polish weapon.

Went and picked up my P64 today.

Boy, you guys weren't lying about the DA trigger on this thing. Fear not though, I have already ordered a new hammer spring from Wolff.

That's like a 50 lb. single action trigger pull! I wonder how those guys did it. Probably had to cock the hammer with their thumbs as they were drawing and then shoot.

ETA - Also...am I correct in assuming that this 1974 engraved on the slide indicates that the gun was manufactured in 1974?

I and 2 buddies got ours in yesterday from Classic Arms for 129.95 plus shipping.  Great little guns.

Have you ever tried a M1895 Nagant revolver?
