Sometimes it seems like we have a LOT of divorcees here getting screwed over.
So, what's the reality? 1st marriage, 19 years for me |
Married - 20 years ...21 in May. Never happier..never better... no Bull.
How can a 15 year old be married for 19 years? |
I bought a Delorean |
I can honestly say I've given it my best shot.
Never happened. For sure, I've had girlfriends, but nothing that was ever destined to go anywhere good. |
Still on number one. This one needs to pump out more kids and make me more $ before I ditch her for a 19 year old that snaps her gum and lets me poke her in the butt.
The REALITY is that MARRIAGE IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DIVORCE |
THe divorce isn't filed yet, but the seperation has been a year (VA law if you have kids).
Waiting to hear back from my lawyer. |
divorced, remarried. Which makes me a loser with attitude!
*ETA* Good job to those who have been married so long, |
Married for 36 yrs,to the same woman.
I told my wife ONCE:"I know of people who got a lesser sentence for multiple killings" |
Marriage #2 has been excellent.
Mrs. Brohawk and I will celebrate 18 years of bliss next month. |
Only marriage, 12+ years, no end in sight.
Which is a good thing. |
So...... How long has it been since you've been home? |
Divorced, remarried the bitch (Version 1.0), divorced it again.
Married new younger model with her shit together. Version 2.0, since 1.0 had WAY too many defects. Going on 5 years with 2.0, of which married for two and change of it. Just moved to TN so she could get her PHD in Psychology. Life is great. |
Just broke up w/ the gf of 10 months Does that count? She helped me decide that marriage is bad.
-Dan. |
Still single and I might not have 36 years left in me |
Same for me! We have had a couple rocky patches but are still together. |
I hope that wasn't a career change for her AFTER she married you! j/k I wish you all well.......even the someday to be married penguin! |
Was married, eight years. Paid my fine and got released!
I'm smart enough not to do that again. |
never married
probably never will, the older you get the less available women |
50 years old, never been married - but not a loser!
I never wanted to ever get married, to much fun being single!!! |
13 1/2 years and going strong. We do everything together including shooting.
I am seperated, and the divorce should be final in about a month from now. We were married for 6 years, but just couldn't make it work. I would love to say it was both of us giving up on making it work, but it was mainly me.
Being born is the leading cause of death.... |
Married right out of high school....going threw divorce right now....It really does suck as much or more as people say it does....Life apparently goes on some day though.
Married 5 years. 2 kids and 2 deployments later still going strong.
Nearly 20 years here.
Mr. Playmore is a good man...But then again, I'm nicer to him than I am to most of the guys in this place. I have to be. He's a better shot. |
Twenty-one years old and on my first marriage. Had our third anniversary yesterday to be honest, last year has been pretty rocky but we're chugging through it.

Strive as much as possible to make it, your attitude says your going to. Eventually you will both end up needing each other so much that you can't do without each other. That's when you know the marriage has and will always be a success. It really is a team effort, and bigger than either one of you. Adaptation is the key. Things change, and people change. Some grow together, some grow apart. There were a few times in the past we could have split, thank god we made it. Looking back the reasons that we had friction were money/job/stress/etc based and had nothing to do with each other. I think the first 8 years or so were the hardest. The last 5 years have beeen the best. |

Wise words. There have been some major bumps in the road (some are still there) but we're both striving to make it work. Actually, I think it's getting easier as we go. |

Never divorced. My wife and I will celebrate 30 years in a few months.
viator |
Count me in on the Loser team. My wife and I have been together for 8 years.
Divorced and re-married. Guess I didn't learn my lesson on the first one. Actually I love my wife very much, we've been married for 2 years but have known each other for 5 years. There is always pot holes in the road but hey that's what makes life interesting.
