This guy I work with in the CAD dept doesn't know CAD as well as a bright college student, and yet he goes on and on about his abilities, and acts like a hotshot, while I'm the kind of guy who quietly does his work.

Anyway, today I had it with this guy. He tells me to close an Autocad file so he can go in and plot. He says this ALL THE TIME, and today I finally yelled, "I don't have to get out of the file for you to plot it! How can you NOT know that? You've been here longer than I have!"

To which he said, "Dude...."

And then silence.

AutoCad?  Dude, that is so last century.  SolidWorks is the only way to model!

You think so?  I have not used Autodesk, but SolidWorks 2003-5 is pretty nice, IMHO.

Not Cool, Dude! I bet he thought he could talk down to anybody he wanted to and nobody would crack on his limited education. To that I say: Dude!

Once you use Inventor, you will never go back to SolidWorks..

It is so much easier to use.
