Pretty good price, from what I have seen of Colts. I think a 9mm AR would make a sweet little carbine.

Does it use Sten magazines or special "Colt" mags?

It uses Colt and or Israeli mags. The Colt mags go for $60 to $80. The Israeli mags go for $25- $35, and are 20 rounders I think.

Congrats!  I can't wait for mine to show up.  Ordered a LE6920 last week...but dealer out of stock, and not expecting until late March early April  Oh well, good things come to those who wait.  Should be about perfect weather for taking her to the range and breaking her in!

There are very few LEO Colts in the pipeline. I have no idea what is up. I was told not to expect to see any for a while. Retooling?

it will take modified UZI mags-- I've seen mags ranging in 20rd mags to 50rd mags... CDNN used to have 40rd mags. Only difference for UZI mags, if using in a Colt-- a simple notch needs to be cut for the mag release and it won't hold the bolt open unless you modify the follower...

Also, Colt used to make 20rd mags too. I have a couple.

I was told they (Colt) are no longer making the LEO/Military 9mm model any more. What's out there is out there. That info might be wrong though.

First, congrats on your first, but probably not your last, Pony.

Second, the 9 mil AR's are pretty darned popular, I'd wait and see as far as Colt "not making anymore".  That just doesn't sound kosher.  I have to go to SAW sales next week to pick up a couple of LE lowers, I'll try to remember to ask what's up.

Probably wrong info.... I've heard this many different times since I got my 9mm ARs over 10 years ago.

IIRC, they go through phases/windows on when certain models are built, and to fullfil contracts.

They did stop making mine (very few ever made), however, but they continued making LE SMG models during the ban. I was glad the AWB sunset occurred so that more Colt mags would be added to the pool, but I still haven't bought any new ones as cheap UZI mags work well too (but they don't hold the bolt open)...

As of yesterday, SAW Sales had 17 of them in stock according to their web site.

Hmm.. My bad. I thought Colt only produced the LEO/Military Export Only 9mm Ar-15 once a year. Hence, the less than stellar availability problem.
