That is a constant concern but Dubai lets foreigners own property and business there. Abbu Dabbi recently had to change their policy of partial state ownership of foreign companys to compete with their UAE brothers in Dubai. A market economy has taken over here and it is spreading
 Merchants ultimately rule over kings and clerics. Always!

Bahrain, also a fun place to party, the Saudis didn't build that ~20 mile long causeway for nothing I used to laugh my ass off at all the "devout" muslims yanking their robes and headdresses off while driving on the causeway, and arriving at the Bahrain side in a normal western suit.

Actually Bahrain is way worse than Dubai & has been the party capitol of the muslim world for way longer. If you want it you can get it in Bahrain. I hated the time spent there, it's a nasty filthy place, but you can get beer and porn if ya know where to look  Abu Dhabi was the best city I've spent time in, it was way better than Riyadh and all the other muslem cities I've had to visit. Besides, they had a Chilis there and noting beats a good old fashoned American burger when ya get really sick and tired of goat cheese and schwarmas

All you need to do is invoke the name of Allah before you go to do the 'dirty deed' and you're good to go... All they do is walk up to a bar for instance and order a drink, then they say, 'If Allah does not wish me to drink this, may he strike it from my hand'....and sure enough, Allah seems to be unbothered and away they go for it. I worked with Iranians and Arabs in the Gulf in the 70's/80's, the biggest bunch of hard drinking, whore screwing, gambling, dope smoking, porn buyers you ever saw. ANdy |

Actually, you're completely incorrect. That image was from the Moorish (Muslim) invasion of Spain. As you may have read, the Muslims invaded Spain (a Christian country) and turned the citizens into slaves (dhimmi) in their own country for a few hundred years. It was in all the history books. |
