Why haven't the radical Islaamists not continued beheading people? Given the media air play it gets, it seems like an effective way to terrorize.

Possible answers -

1. Lack of captured victims

2. There's really only a few Islaamists that radical as to cut off heads.

3. The world opinion against those weho do it has affected them, causing them to think it doesn't help their cause.

4. Abu Ghariab struck theh fear of America into them

5. Some unreported action by teh US military has scared the fear of America into them

My take is this - the ONLY thing they understand is force. And tehy prey on weakness, and perceived weakness.

I'd say its  somethign unreported our military is doing that has struck fear into them - enuf so they don't behead people as much as they'd like.

They see that cutting the heads off Americans doesn't gain them any political advantage.  This is why you don't cave to terrorists.  If we did cave then there would certainly be more as it would reward them.

What makes you say they arent?

I think the question you might want to ask is, why haven't the media been reporting beheadings any longer?

I think most of those "captured" videos are a sham.

they can apparently get more mileage from a car bomb.  Beheadings are far too personal for the muslim silent supporters.
