Sounds like the kid was up to no good and probably needed to looked at but an arsenal?
CLEARWATER - A 15-year-old Clearwater High School student was arrested on weapons charges last month after police said he stocked his bedroom with guns, browsed white supremacist Web sites and made disturbing statements to classmates, the St. Petersburg Times has learned. Christopher Rodriguez was charged with a felony for bringing brass knuckles to school and a misdemeanor for possessing a Derringer pistol at home, police said. He has been held at the Juvenile Detention Center since Jan. 18. Police who searched Rodriguez's home found two rifles, homemade silencers, neo-Nazi hate literature and military manuals. They did not find evidence of a plan to use the guns or a hit list of potential victims. An investigation began last month after Rodriguez made two disturbing remarks at school, police said. Officers also searched the bedroom of one of Rodriguez's friends, and found knives, bats, BB guns, a crossbow and bullets. Prosecutors are considering charges against that teen, who was not named. An investigation is continuing. http://www.sptimes.com/2006/02/17/Tampabay/Police_arrest_teen_wi.shtml |

WTF? That sounds just like my room when I was a teen. WTF is wrong with any of that.... and why is that worthy of reporting? What charges? |
Depending on what is said. I got the feeling it was a type of communicating threats type thing |
Maybe he is like Bernie Mack's character from "Don't Be a Menace".... "I hate my gums because they black" |
That's what I was thinking! If that is an arsenal, I have a complete armory! |
+1 Kids these days are fucked. Arsenal? Na, but the kid is trying. |

Rodriguez -the white supremeist neo nazi!Yea right
Just like that Native American kid that did the other school shooting, he was also identified by the media as a nazi. Why? Because nazis (political speak for whites) are bad, everyone else good. When an "everyone else" commits a crime just slap a nazi label on em and hope the sheeple don't pay too much attention to details like names and races. We as Americans are truly being victimized by the "media with an agenda" in this country. |
Not uncommon in SoCal. I knew many guys named Rodriguez who lost their Hispanic heritage generations ago. |
The only things that he fucked up are:
Silencer Knucks at school |
So is he going to federal pound-him-in-the-ass prison, Uncle Lar'? |
I'm actually surprised that the knuckles at school constitute a felony. In NY though, none of this would have amounted to a hill of shit because he's still a juvenile. As soon as he turns 16 or 18 all will be forgiven. I don't know how they do things where this happened, but I doubt its too far from NY laws.

I have more shit in my truck then they found in this kids room.
so i guess if you get arrested with weapons and nazi stuff they expect you to have this on hand also |
They might have been looking for those items due to the comments he said at school.

'Officers also searched the bedroom of one of Rodriguez's friends, and found knives, bats, BB guns, a crossbow and bullets. Prosecutors are considering charges against that teen, who was not named.'
didn't you know, playing baseball is a crime now...... |
So would they have been upset if the friend had only a claw hammer and pointy sticks? oooh, baseball bat, a heinous weapon of mass destruction. 2 guns does not make an arsenal...sheeze. |
I had more rifles than that as a teenager (at 14) I did not have the brass kuckles or silencers, they are prohibited items up here......
now...if he had bats in his room and his name was Bruce Wayne...that would be ok
Yes my friends it is sad but true, I read that the ATF and the FBI are now trying to pass a bill that will allow them to charge individuals by the "length" of the gun instead of the type of gun. It seems that in congress the "type"of gun ban has not worked out well for them in the past so they are going for length of firearm. So be warned! |

Only if you aren't using illicit drugs while playing. |

Wow times have changed. That is my bedroom to a "T" as a kid --from say age 9 till I moved out. |

Where does the .gov think our future warriors come from?
The Chess Club? GM |

Arsenal?
1. He is allowed to make whatever comments he wants. Look what Malcom X got away with. Look what Farakhan gets away with. 2. He only broke the law by having silencers (if not properly acquired), his parents can claim to own the rest. 3. Surfing stupid web sites is not against the law and re-inforced by our constitution. Since they had no evidence of a crime being committed and did not have a valid reason to search his house, my guess is: no charges, case dismissed, case overturned, or mis-trial. |
I trust you are joking. 1. The ATF and FBI dont get bills passed. Congress does. They might have a lobby influence... but nothing more than that. 2. This charge was likely more along the lines of possession of a handgun, which is not legal for a person under 18, without parental consent. And if it was with parental consent, the parent could be charged with making firearms available to a minor. |

well, they were probably not good ol' wooden baseball bats.... they were likely the new aluminum assault bats...which have no sporting purpose...evident by the fact that professional baseball teams do not use them. No Expert Edit: spelin |
Well, yes it was a joke. But here in Tn, we actaully call what I said being a smart ass. Thanks for the other info too. |
If that's an arsenal, then I guess I got a military. Tools. |
They're the worst kind!
My 10 year old son has more shit than that in his room right now......and I gave most of it to him |
They call that an arsenal? Geeesh.
Jesus christ. I hope they don't come to my house. I'm still 17, and knowing how they responded to that, lets just say my situation wouldn't be too good. Over zealous gov. trying to push its will on the citizens, exactly what our founding fathers were against.
