YES!
Finally, not only am I going to have something to drink for the Friday nite drinking thread, and it's not going to be Busch Ice
I heard this joke about a Serb, a Frenchman, and a German who were stranded together on a desert island for years.
One day, the German finds a magic lamp, and a genie appears, granting him 3 wishes. He wishes for a billion dollars, immortaility, and to get the fuck off this deserted island! Poof, he vanishes, and the Frenchman practically jumps on the lamp and wishes for money, beautiful women, and to get off the island. So now the Serb's turn. He wishes for a ton of cigarettes, tanker truck of slivovitz, but he's kind of bummed he has no one to hang out with any more. "I wish my friends the German and French guy were here."
OK, lame joke, but WTF is slivovitz? Turns out it's the national drink of Serbia and the Balkans, and it's made all over eastern Europe, they dont eat their plums, they turn them into this booze. Basically plum brandy. I've never heard of it. So I bought a fifth of it about 30 minutes ago. Kosher Serbian slivovitz, 100 proof, aged 8 years.
Pretty smooth, subtle blueberry-like taste
