I find a wine buzz is way different then a whisky buzz.

All I remember is that the more you consume, the more it hurts in the long run.
Thats why I stopped

The only difference between liquor, beer, and wine was how long it took to get wrecked.
Once buzzed, it was all the same.

Beer is a slow n' steady buzz.

Liquor is a "buzz within the hour... puke within 3" type.

Technically, it's not the alcohol that makes the difference.  Ethanol is ethanol, regardless of what it's in.  It's the carrier and it's related impurities that causes the difference in your buzz.

Well, it depends.  If you're drinking CH3-0H, death and the onset of a buzz will be nearly simultaneous.  If you're drinking CH3-CH2-OH, it only depends on the rate of absorption, because the physiological effects are the same per quantity.

For me:

beer= mellow drunk
Whiskey or vodka generally=fun racous drunk, especially used in combo with beer
tequila=angry violent drunk
