Forbes Article

-men and women enter into marriage because both find some profitability in the relationship
-they found it odd that men went to prostitutes instead of their wives for non-reproductive sex.

Discus.....

Wow... Interesting article.

I'm really suprised they threw around the word "whore" so much instead of a substitute.

After reading that, I still have almost no idea of what their journal article was really about.  The writer did a good job of trashing them, though.  I guess it must have offended the twit's sensibilities.

A friend of mine here just went to Thailand with his wife, and commented to me that it was disappointing that she was along since he "couldn't go whoring."  I just don't get it -- I see absolutely no attraction in screwing some probably-diseased "public toilet".  His wife is gorgeous and intelligent, and when they almost got divorced (because he was caught trying to cheat on her), I was seriously considering hitting on her if they actually separated.

Yes...probably a bit of journalistic integrity going on with that sentiment I'm sure.

I found the article wanting too.

I did like the comparison about how societies and men get wealthier, prostiution drops.

And are mistresses essentially splitting the difference?
You get a woman for the sex, but she is expected to be less dangerous VD wise than a common streetwalker.

You don't pay a whore for sex. You pay her to leave when you're done.

Methinks there is much wisdom in this saying.

Typical drivel by a know nothing.

I used to hate women too....When I was five.  I think I hit a few in Jr high.

After I grew up, I realized they were ok.

Just like everyone else...Good and bad.

They're equating love/marriage/family with economics.

For that reason I cant "buy" into their pseudointellectual findings.
