Hello, my name is Megan, and I am a senior cadet in Army ROTC. I am a psychology major and one of my graduation (and therefore commissioning) requirements is to complete a senior project.

I am doing my thesis on the factors that affect the ways men feel about their romantic relationships... and I need participants!

So, please take my survey if you are:
1) a straight man
2) between the ages of 18 and 30
3) currently attending college in the U.S. and
4) currently involved in a romantic relationship

So please, help a college student out! And if you're worried, I will never know who fills out these surveys. You will never be asked to give your name. I'll have absolutely no idea who says what.

Please follow the link to my online survey:

Not in college, but meet the criteria otherwise.

Why do the respondents need to be college students?

Too late, too old here.

I agree that pics would help (possibly) out here.

Love the disclaimer......

Although highly unlikely, it is possible that you will experience stress after completing this study. If you would like to speak with a professional (about anything related or unrelated to this project), please contact Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services at (XXX) XXX-XX.......

I had to voluntarily answer questions....  Oh god, the pressure...  I just can't take it....

I'm sure if it is for a thesis, that the Univ requires some B.S. like that.  We all know how fragile 18-30 year olds are!

Your survey will give meaningless results as you have no idea if the people filling it out will fit the demographic you are looking for.

I almost did, but I figured I'd be nice and not lie about being in college. I want her to do well.

1) A straight man?  That's discrimination!  You're a homophobe!  Ban Megan!   Booooo!  Make her watch Bareback Mountain to prove she doesn't hate gays!!!!!

Thank you all for the help.

About the picture: All I have is a picture of me in our battalion's t-shirt and PT shorts (I'm usually behind the camera because I'm the PAO), which I would be more than happy to post but I can't figure out how... help?

In response to all these questions: (Sorry it took so long to get back on this website.  School just keeps me very busy!)
1) I am not homophobic.  I've seen Brokeback Mountain (as well as many other movies about homosexual couples), attend an all women's college where approximately 1/3 of the students are lesbian, and one of my best friends since birth is a gay man.  The reason I am asking for straight men is because it is highly possible that there are factors different than that for straight men that affect their relationship satisfaction... and therefore would skew my data.
2) Yes, there are some very personal questions on here... hence the "disclaimer." (If it wasn't personal though, I wouldn't be asking would I?)
3) No this isn't a trap.  I am just a student who has developed a really strong interest in this area.
4) Yes, grad school. :) I applied to 9 schools in clinical psychology and so far have been accpeted to one.  I'm still interviewing.  Stress!
5) I am also recruiting in many different places.  I'm not purposely trying to skew my data.  It's just that I go to school in California and I would like to get a more nation-wide view of things.
6) Well, by relationship I meant that you interact with each other.  So if you're just sleeping together and not speaking this probably isn't the survey for you.

Host the pic at a photo hosting site, then put the url for the image in a post here. One of us will make it hot.

Welcome to arfcom by the way. This board has an ... imteresting... personality. Hope your sense of humor is strong.

Thanks for your service. That's taken seriously around here.

Quick reminder to other members here. Megan signed up in the post 9/11 military. She deserves the respect that goes with that. Let's keep the hazing to a reasonable level.

I graduated college in 2003 so I can't take your survey.

But I wanna give you a bump. All the guys who fit the demographic should take the survey and the guys who don't shouldn't reply.

This young lady will be a solider herself and will be helping with the mental health of other soliders. So lets try to help this young woman out.

In all seriousness, I would recommend against posting any pictures of yourself - especially given that your email and phone number are already provided on the front page of the survey.  This web site has its fair share of idiots, and it would suck to have your phone and email bombarded by morons.

Or, alternatively, post a picture of some hideously unattractive person

Just free advice - good luck with your project.

He's right you know.  Pics are probably a bad idea.

Wasn't bad?

Most of the thing was set up like that old question  "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

If you answer yes, it implies that you USED to beat her and are an asshole, or if you reply no, it implies that you still ARE beating your wife.

Many of the questions were loaded or improperly worded to make men out to be wife beating monsters.

In only one part was the option "N/A" avalible.  The rest sucked.

Survey completed.  I put "never" on the last page for every single answer having to do with being an ass towards your girlfriend - except for the question "Do you expect your partner to obey you?" and I put "sometimes" - but she likes obeying in those circumstances.
