It's a J. Stevens Model 15 .22 that was given to me some 20 years ago. I recently re-finished it with a coat of Alumahyde II, re-did the stock in tung oil and put new screws on it that I found at Numrich. I admit that I didn't really take care of it in my younger days and the 50+ year old barrel does show some pitting in it, but this thing is still a tack driver. And one day if I ever have kid's, it will be the perfect starter rifle for them.

My first personal firearm is my Marlin 60W NRA commemorative .22, which still comes out with me almost every time I go shooting.
The gun I learned to shoot with is my grandfather's Savage 340E .222Rem, which I should have back sometime this week from my cousin who borrowed it for coyotes and p-dogs this past fall and winter. Alas, my digital camera took the final crap on me so I have to wait till I get a chance to fund a new one before I could think of posting pics. |

I bought it used in 1990 and the only thing that I have changed since is the scope rings.

Yep. Old pre-serial-number Wichester 67, single-shot .22 (similar action to yours at the top), salvaged from a fire years ago and fitted with a beautiful stock hand-made by my great-grandfather (a very good professional woodworker). Not worth anything, but I wouldn't sell it for anything either.
 I'll have to see if I can find a pic of it (or take some tonight)... |

No pics, sorry, but I still have it:
Ithaca Model 37 featherlight, 20 guage shotgun with a modified barrel and an Improved Barrel. By far the lightest shotty I have ever put my hands on. Great for teaching kids & newbies trap/skeet. I should call my dad and tell him thanks for getting that for me 20 year ago... |

My first was a .22rimfire Marlin-Glenfield model25 I received at the tender age of 12. I had to buy it with my own money ($50.00). I still own it. I haven't shot it in years but I am waiting for my 8yo to show me enough maturity to take him out to the range with it.

This was given to me about 15 years ago by my dad. Its and old Harrington and Richards 9 shot .22.

Technically, my first firearm was an original 1858 Remington that my grandfather willed to me. I still have it but it’s not in shooting condition so I never really counted it. (My brother, as a very thoughtful surprise Christmas gift one year, bought me a reproduction and I have shot it.)
When I was about 16 I managed to convince my father that I needed a rifle. I guess he figured it was either that or a car. And since it’s insane to give a car to a 16 year old he agreed to get me a .22 rifle. We went down to the local “Service Merchandise” and I picked out a Ruger 10/22. That was over 23 years ago; I still have it, and have no plans of getting rid of it. Well, maybe I’ll give it to one of my nephews when they turn 16, but that’ll be 13 years from now. |

Marlin model 60 .22 I bought it with my allowance about 25 years ago. I bought a cheap Tasco scope for it that I eventually threw away because I could see better without it. Now my oldest boy uses it.

LOL. The Phantoms are definitely my favorite jets and I even have prints of them hanging on the wall. This one is Chico and he's an F-4E armed with 2 Vulcan gun pods and 4 Rockeyes under the wings. He was used as a Fast FAC in Vietnam and as you might envision, was not something you wanted to be in the way of.  |

I bought it 3 months after I turned 18 and I'm now 24. It was originally a very plain looking HBAR AK shorty. It has since gone through some revisions.

My first was this Glock 17 bought in April 1996. Tens of thousands of rounds through it so far and I plan on put tens of thousands more through it.

H&K USP .45ACP.
I got it almost exactly 5 years ago in January 2001. It's jammed three times, all bad ammo, never the gun's fault. I didn't know a lot about guns back then, but I knew enough to know I wanted a .45!  |

Winchester 69A. It was old when I got it, and that was when I was 7 years old (1968). I refinished the stock in the `70's as a teenager. It is still one of the most accurate .22's I've ever seen.

Yup. I bought an SKS the week I turned 18 (Its cheap, and the parents were wary of Evil Black Rifles). That was about 5 months ago. I just placed an order for my first AR though!!!!!

Sears & Roebuck - Ted Williams Mod. 3T semi auto .22 made by Winchester for Sears. I think it
is the same rifle as the Winchester Mod. 190. Dad bought it for me when I was 9 yrs. old. I still remember going to Sears to pick it up. Still have it. My kids love shooting it. Accurate little rifle. |
