i just got it and it kicks ASS!
very advanced and fast.  text editor and atteditor are a single command
you edit text on the drawing not on a silly window.  atttext is still in a window but it's easy.
trim is now multi line (using window or crossing)
windows and crossing boxes are shaded.
when you pick a line or text it bolds.

so far it's a big step up.

Using right now actually...

Do mostly schematic flows of electronic equipment, so it's all just lines and drop in symbols.
But yes it is very good.

my dad is using it.   it came on a dvd instead of a cd.    we had to upgrade his drive to install it.

Sounds nice. We've got LT2005 (floating licenced), and I can never get it to completely open. Had to revert to an old version of R14. Taking steps backward from being used to driving with a mouse sucks.

I have LT2002 on a machine at home, love it. When LT97 came out, I thought the world of it, as, R14 too was cumbersome. Maybe I need to ask our IT guy to fix our server-side problems.

worst vertion of Cadd ever released!  I call it 2000 and glitch,  seriously i've been using auto cadd since release 9 and this is by far the most glitchy over designed piece of garbage.

BTW I hate it.

SolidWorks is a decent 3-d solids modeling package.  Solidworks is a sucky drafting package.  I've been using 2000-2006.  AutoCad is good for certian applications.

DAMN, sorry you guys are having problems.  i think it's kick ass.
now rev 9 was buggy.  every time you regen or save it had a 20% chance of locking up.
i have been running 2006 for about a week and ZERO problems.
the icon editor takes a bit of gettign use to but even it's 100% once you learn to use it.
