Everything we eat either came from or was once alive. Vegtables, meat... etc... There is ONE thing that we eat that is not.... What is it?

water has living creatures in it. After looking at that under a microscope I vowed never to drink water again... that lasted about 6 hours
 so no, the answer is NOT water |

Salt has had living creatures in it. Ever see a big salt plant? The lagoons are red due to a type of organism living there.

Well, if salt comes from the sea, and water is alive then salt cannot be un-alive because it comes from alive things in the water, that somehow produce a mineral. Milk is not alive, and niether is pudding. Milk is in pudding and gay cowboys eat pudding. Coincidence? I don't think so!

Steam distilled and reverse osmosis processed water has no organisms in it, though I don't really consider consuming water or ice as "eating". Neither does sterile surgical water, which is autoclaved. I have drank that before, too. Salt is a mineral that was never alive, and you eat that. At least I do. Oh should have read all the replies first - someone already guessed it.
