is a VFG allowed on a postban AR?  does the pistol grip and the VFG count as two seperate evil features, thereby making the gun an assault weapon?

There is no such thing as post-ban and pre-ban in most places (except California, NYC, and some other areas) since the ban died in 2004 (yay)

You should be able to put a VFG on any post-ban rifle.

NY state's ban is an exact copy of the now defunct federal ban, except without a sunset date.

NYC is bad and NYS would be free..... if it weren't for NYC.

I have an idea:

Build a wall around NYC including blocking off all the bridges.

Then throw all the violent felons in there...............oh wait, someone already made a movie about that.

Oh boy.

Ok, up until now, I thought the evil features were:
Collapsible stock
Threaded barrel
Flash Suppressor
Bayonet Lug
Pistol Grip
Ability to accept detachable magazine

Was Vertical Foregrip always included here?

I don't see it as a movie so much as a proposal.

i'm pretty sure a VFG is considered a "conspicuously protruding pistol grip", but i'm not sure so i'm asking for clarification.

The law says "conspicuously protruding beneath the action of the rifle".  I think a VFG would be fine because it is under the barrel and not the reciever.

Fossil, in the future just ask in the hometown forum. NYS laws are very misinturpited and we have some of the best guys in the HTF that can help you.

A VFG is legal on a postban.

No more than two of the following features:

Pistol grip
Detachable mag
Bayo lug
Flash hider
Collapsible stock
