There is no such thing as post-ban and pre-ban in most places (except California, NYC, and some other areas) since the ban died in 2004 (yay)
You should be able to put a VFG on any post-ban rifle. |

I have an idea: Build a wall around NYC including blocking off all the bridges. Then throw all the violent felons in there...............oh wait, someone already made a movie about that.

i'm pretty sure a VFG is considered a "conspicuously protruding pistol grip", but i'm not sure so i'm asking for clarification. |

The law says "conspicuously protruding beneath the action of the rifle". I think a VFG would be fine because it is under the barrel and not the reciever. |

Fossil, in the future just ask in the hometown forum. NYS laws are very misinturpited and we have some of the best guys in the HTF that can help you.
A VFG is legal on a postban. No more than two of the following features: Pistol grip Detachable mag Bayo lug Flash hider Collapsible stock |
