I won't see my GF until Wednesday, so I can wait until Wednesday morning to buy something.

Any ideas on what to get?  $30 sounds like plenty to me.

It shouldn't be obvious that I bought it for cheap on clearance.

I don't want to spend a lot because:

1. We've been going out maybe 6 months and I don't want to set a $$ precedent
2. All these stupid holidays piss me off anyway

Thanks in advance!

I think I'll just get her some perfume.

It's too bad that that wont be on clearance though.

SO much for trying to save money.

I'm kind of pissy this morning - I'm sure it's coming through in the post.

The PIE situation is great, thanks.

She's a great gal but that doesn't change the fact that I like to save money when I can.

Get her those foofy bath kits or something. Keep the scents to a minimum, though, in case she's not into that kind of thing.

The worst is picking out a perfume that she don't like, or one that just seems overpowering to her.....

I bought my wife some inexpensive silver when I was in Turkey.

Although this information may be of little practicality to you.

I been with mine for a little over 4 months. I know from experience that even if they say they don't care if you don't celebrate the day, that's just a trap.

I went with one of the 20 buck Godiva Chocolates, gonna get a rose tomorrow morning, and am making a home made card with crayon

Can you cook?
You can make a nice dinner for just two of you at home... put out some candles and some wine.
My wife likes that kind of stuff.

In high school I worked at a cookie store in the mall. We made huge cookies (14" round) that sold well for Valentines.

But you can't go wrong with a dozen roses. Most grocery stores carry them for Valentines at a decent price.

How about a box of Trojan Magnums and the 40 oz. beverage of her choice?

Seriously though, cook her something- it's the only thing ugly guys like me have.

Learn how to make origami flowers (google, mutha fucka) and get some good paper from Michael's or a stationary store to make them with.

Just a simple rose and a card.  Geez, you aren't even engaged.  Don't make it more than it should be.....unless you are looking for more.
