Say I wanted to have Mr T. appear at a grocery store opening, or Tanya Harding skate at my kids 13th birthday party at an ice rink. Is there a web site that has the going rate for different celebrities?

Iirc clear channel had a list of appearance fees for certain bands, but I think it only applied for music groups, not actors and other has beens.

Noam Chomsky got 9k per speech pre 9/11 and since he HATES capitalism raised his rates to 12k per speech post 9/11 since he was "more in demand"

He was local so all we had to pay was the fee.
