The other thread got me thinking....  Does anyone know of any reputable drop shippers?....  Also is there anyway to not pay ebay fees unless the items sell?....

at one point i spent a lot of time looking for one.  no dice.   "drop shippers" which are open to the public are a myth, you have to know someone or be willing to spend some big $$$ and order a very large amount of merchandise.

We use FEDEX Ground.  We just call the driver (personal friend) and he comes by the store. Any box any size under 100 pounds is only $6.00! Talk about a sweet deal!
shhhhhhhh don't tell!

A drop shipper is a manufacturer or wholeseller whom you order product from once you have a sale.

You would list an item on Ebay, then once it is sold you then order it from your drop shipper who ships it to your buyer.

Nope.  You will always pay listing fees.

There's advantages to drop shippers:
1) you dont have to invest in inventory
2) they do all the shipping for you

But disadvantages are:
1) they control the price of the item
2) if there's a dispute between the buyer and you and merchandise has to be returned, do they ship it back to the drop shipper?  How do you know the item's messed up if you've never seen it?
3) You're paying them fees for the service that you could be paying yourself

You ever sold stuff on ebayed anything before?  If not, buy some cheap stuff and sell it on ebay, used DVD's, CD's, whatever, start getting your feedback up, learn the many ways to ship, get a scale, Priority Mail and non PM boxes, hoard plastic peanuts, etc and dive into for a couple months

I just sell my own stuff, if you want to make money, invest some $ into inventory you can move, in the other thread it was knives and holsters.

Ebay needs a middleman like Golf Club Exchange.  The seller doesn't get paid until the merchandise is examined by the buyer.  The only way to buy used golf clubs btw.
