...next week I'll be interviewing for a job in that area.

Gun clubs

Housing prices

Boy scout troops

general living

schools

Any area within a 45 minute drive worth looking into living.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Lab,

I live in Arvada (I'm overseas right now), which is about 10-15 minutes from Golden, I can tell you that Colorado real estate has gotten really expensive in the last 10 years (don't know compared to Ohio), shooting clubs are all over, theres one right there in Golden, lots of places to shoot around the foothills and mountains, indoor ranges are located here and there, not too hard to find one close.

School systems are good to go, stay out of the Denver school system itself. Know idea about boy scouts but there is LOTS for the kids to do as far as activities, you'll have no trouble at all finding whatever you want, soccer, karate, dancing, that kind of thing. We have Water World, Six Flags, Ocean Journey, skiing (of course), and a pretty good nightlife. Good restaurants everywhere.

I would start by looking at living in Golden itself, if you need to get a little further away, go Westminster, Thornton or Arvada, all pretty good neighborhoods. Again, don't live in Denver itself.

Good luck, brother, welcome aboard.

Don

 Yes, that's the place.

Check out the Colorado Hometown Forums. The Front Range guys will be more likely to see your question there.

Check out "Charli Bahng's"  restaurant.

You'll sit on hand woven wicker stools and your table will be brought
to you...It will either be a miniature horse or an alpaca. The table top
is strapped to the back of the animal. They've been traained to stand
perfectly still throughout the entire meal.

Your human server's assistant will be a chimpanzee. One is assigned to
each waiter. They do everything short of actually serving the food.

The food is turkish/north african.
This restaurant originated in New York and became so popular the owners opened
a second one in Golden.

Don't tip the chimps. They get upset and will throw food at you.
