I have been carrying a Kel-Tec P-32 as a BUG to my GLOCK 19 for about three years. I know the .32ACP is less than optimal as a self defense cartridge. IMO, the most important quality in a back up gun is that is is always there, and at the time, it was my best option. I will still probably carry the P-32 on occasion, but I am going to get a more powerful BUG for those times when I can carry a larger gun. The three weapons that I am currently considering are the Kahr PM9, S&W 642, and GLOCK 26.
Let's see the guns you guys carry as a back up gun. |

no pics, but mine is either a springfield micro compact 45, or a kel tec p32, depends on what im wearing.

Soon as I get the money, it will be a Walther PP.
Like you said, .32 ain't great, but the most important thing is that it is always there. |

If you can't beat 'em, run like hell. |

I carry a Glock 36 in the summer and it's worn as back up to my 1911 in jacket weather |

a snubby
dont have one yet....
what do yall think of a G19 in a ankle holster to go w/ my SW 1911 PD? |

I carry a G19 every day, but I think it would be too big for an ankle holster. Then again, Arnold carried a 92FS in an ankle holster in "Kindergarten Cop." |
I carried a 19 in a Galco ankle glove. It was doable, but the 26 is much better. Particularly if you want to wear jeans. Unextended mags still hold 10 rds. too. G |

I just fart on the attacker, the toxic fumes usually cause them to pass out...
S&W makes autos? j/k |

Caliber: .500 Capacity: 5 Rounds Barrel Length: 10 1/2" Weight Empty: 82 oz. Another 10.5 inches I'd be happy too be packin' |

+1 & when that runs out, i got my knife & fist. |
That is really your's isn't it? |
You sure that's not your "drop gun" |
It is actually my DROP GUN! Someone gave it to me. The thing is an unsafe hunk of shit. |
My primary weapon holds 16 rounds and I carry either a 19 or 33 round spare mag. I also carry a spare mag for the BUG. |

Mine is a a Beretta .25 Jetfire. Older version, but carries 8+1 rounds. It is a great pocket gun and very reliable.
My Primary is usually a Springfield 'loaded' 1911A1, full size. Occasionally swapped for a XD Subcompact.
Backup, if it's carried, is usually a P-32 in a pocket. I also have a Taurus 9mm snubby that I've been known to carry as backup, but that is usually my car gun. |
Like many, it depends on the weather.
Hot=Seecamp .32, cool, sometimes the Ruger SP101. |
Haha, thats awesome. You ever shoot both at the same time? Dual wielding would be awesome. For target shooting at least. |
S&W 642 Right jeans pocket in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. Loaded with Speer Gold Dot 135gr. +P HPs. I'm a mostly 1911 guy, but I gotta tell you, that S&W 642 is one sweet little revolver. |
Is that the .380 or the .32? |
Primary CCW is a Glock 30, next week my backup will be a Glock 26.....
