Yeah they were about that much. Lets see, about $250 for the drum, $30 for the HK mag leaves $500 for labor????? Besides, 75rds of 308+drum+hk91 +heavy a$$ gun! Imagine how she rattles too with 75 rounds in a metal drum...and people complain about rattles in Betas. Sheeesh!

Well its perfect for those who want to have 75 shots on their PSG1, but I would take a HK21 over using this mag in a G3.

Cool toy but how many 30s can be bought for that price?

But the ones I want to find are the scarce 40 round egyptian .308 HK mags. Anyone remember those?

Well, its only a fifty rounder, but I'd rather have factory HK:

It's probably a lot cheaper, too.

I have a friend who just bought at the last Big Town Show in Mesquite, Texas.

He paid $1,000.00 for it!

About two weeks later, he bought his first HK-91!

Talk about putting the cart before the horse!
Imagine spending that kind of dough on a mag for a weapon you don't even own yet.

(Edited for response to havoc - I didn't look at it too closely, but I thought it was an HK accessory, turn's out it's 'C&S Metalwerkes')

That mag is nothing more than a NOVELTY. Two types buy a mag like that.

1. More $ than Brain cells.
2. Has money to throw away for trinkets.

NOT a good choice for a PSG-1 For many reasons.

1. Tactics, mil doctorine usually dictates a sniper to move after fire. Not needed in police roles as few rounds are fired. If a police sniper fires more than a couple rounds something REALLy went wrong.

2. Noise, that mag will be VERY noisy compaired to 20rd mag. Noise can = death to a military sniper.

3. Bulky, hard to store and transport compared to a 20rd mag. Harder to change than a 20 if you plan to take it with you.

4. Weight, not as much an issue to a PO but to a military man who has to move fast and remain quiet the weight and size already adds to a 18lb rifle.

5. Cost, no PD would pay that much for a mag, EVER, been counters would flip. Military can buy factory HK for less.

Could probably think of more but this is getting long...
