Tell me what you think about this:

My girlfriend plays basketball fand tonight she had a game.  Well it was senior night and her last game of her career .  With about 2 minutes left in the game she fouled the shooter, and was knocked backwards and hit her head hard on the ground.  My girl is a tough you know what and she didn't get up from the ground for a while.  She had to be walked off the court and into the locker room by her trainers as she was in a lot of pain.  As she was walking into the locker room the local police officer for the rival school looked at her, laughed and said "don't worry honey, she made her free throws"....Now she was already crying from fouling out and from her head injury and the officer knew this.  I think it was totally unprofessional for him to say this to her especially while in uniform.  I thought I was going to have jump down from the stands and pull her off of him, but she was the bigger "man" and just ignored him

No LE bashing, I'm in LE myself--Thats what pissed me off, I would've never said anything like that to someone after what had just happened.

She ought to call his supervisor and file a complaint. Nobody holding the position of a school resource officer should have a mindset that allows him to make comments like that to anybody - especially students.

Am I understanding that you are "in LE", dating a high school kid, and then talking about how "shit works after the game"?

Am I missing something here?

Its OK, most "Pseudo-Law Enforcement" employees get it confused..............

Prison Guards, Parole Officers, Detention Officers, Game Commisioners, Mall Security, all the same in my eyes.

ETA_ Nothing wrong with real LEOs. They have a dirty job.

I've been working for the local SO for about 6 months now... That post was a question regarding what I'm getting ready to do.  My SO won't allow me the time off to go to the academy on my own and the pay here sucks so I'm leaving my current SO to work for another larger SO that pays more.  My question then was aimed at going to the academy before I started the job or not....

Completely, completely DISAGREE. We are a nation of complainers - as a group, we need to get thicker skin and "man up."  It's unAmerican to get all worked up, complain, sue over hot coffee you spilled on yourself, etc.
