What are you going to shoot it in ? I only shoot it in my "beater" guns.
I use it in my Indian No1 2A Enfield. Works great for plinking ammo. It reloads nice too. I've shot it in my CETME, carefully. It's dirty, smells like creasote. The best stuff is the 70's vintage on bandoliers. I read somewhere that Winchester/OLin set them up a factory around then and QC was better. Wolf is definitely safer. I shot some of the new reloadable Wolf in 30-'06 and it was great. No I mean it. the Wolf GOLD is GREAT. I bought the Indian it when it was a lot cheaper. $50 for 640 rounds. C'mon it's India !. What can go wrong ?

It can and likely will explode. I would not let my CETME chamber or fire so much as one round of that shit.

I made the mistake of buying an ammo can of it in 1999... NEVER AGAIN
failure to fire 1 in every 30ish.. even after multiple primer strikes. under powered.. too often to count over powered.. too often to count and it was obvious! a new first time shooter would have even noticed. this was all within 540 rounds. and D I R T Y NEVER AGAIN. |

I shoot Indian 7.62x51 all the time and have zero problems with it.
I especially like trying to shoot in off fenceposts with my old Marlin .22LR. But shooting it off the ground or taped to targets is fun too. Just don't shoot it out of a gun and you'll be ok. |

yep nice stuff
never seen a KB but have seen many failure to fire and a couple of primer pops that sent the bullet to get lodged in the barrel |

Nothing is wrong with it...as long as you fire it with a string from at least 20 feet away.
Actually I have no idea. I just don't really like the idea of using Indian ammo. |

Before I knew better I purchased a can of it from a member here and he never said a word aboout how crapy it was.
Figure he just wanted to off load the ammo on somebody and I was the dupe who go stuck with it. Oh and yes, he is also (or was last time I looked) a moderator here as well. |

I bought some before I knew better. So far it's been good, but I think I will weigh each round before loading from now on.
There is a good thread on FalFiles about it. Some lots seem to be OK, and some have caused a few documented KB's. IMHO, .10 per round is too much for it. |
