Hmmm. Hadn't thought of that.

I notice Bobcat only sells 9mm ones according to their website.

HK Did make MP5's in 40 and 10mm. But AFAIK, not nearly in the numbers they did in 9mm... 10mm MP5's I'm not sure ever went into serious production numbers, but HKPRO does list them.

In fact, I think someone here posted a pic of a batch (over 20) that included some 40 caliber MP5's that were getting the receivers hacked (parts kits) not long ago. Chances are those kits are long gone, but there are probably .40 cal kits around. The trouble might be finding someone who can properly add the bolt hold open to the receiver.

Personally, I start looking for a kit, a good builer, and a good receiver.

IIRC, the only client to buy the MP-5/10s en masse were the FBI.

I think I recall the US Secret Service having some as well.

To answer the original post, Vector Arms sells them in .40, 10mm, and 357 Sig (). They go for around $1,400-$1,600 I believe.

$200 if you go the for NFA model such as this one:

Here's one on Gunbroker.com with a fake suppressor to get the barrel length up to snuff:

$1,450 in .357 Sig

If you want a reasonable price MP5 .40 or 10mm semi auto Vector/Bobact is the best way to go.

There are HK smiths would build damn near factory MP5 10mm, 357 SIG and .40s

They build them from HK 94s and SP89s and real demilled MP5s. The sad part is buy the time you factor the cost of HK 94 and factory HK MP5 10mm parts, plus the labor charge of the smith you are looking at a 10,000 HK MP5 10mm or 40.

Than if you had a HK sear, you add another 11,000.

With the Vectors---either the SBR or the rifle with the fake can---are you allowed to put an HK collapsable stock on it?

Also, which would you recommend? The .40 would be easier to find ammo for but the 10mm would be an ass-kicker! Of course the .357 Sig would be a screamer too.
