I gave my account to my brother shortly after the expansion pack came out. He then turned around & sold it on ebay for 250 bucks

I'm still playing it a lot.  Great game.  Shame we probably won't see a Diablo III.

So how long do you think we should be allowed to play a game before we should throw it away?

I still play Neuromancer every now and then.  I think that came out in 1987 or so.

I thought it was a fun game, had some big time items, but it was a major league time killer.

I was way into Diablo I and II.  I don't play games so much anymore, but I just found about about Hellgate: London, and I may have to try that out when it releases.  Think Diablo, in post apocalyptic England.  It's a FPS style, with randomized levels!

Enchanted firearms, that's all I gotta say.

Bzzzzt.  Wrong answer!

If you can't play it single-player, it ain't Diablo.

Why not?  Did Diablo II not do very well?

It did phenominally well.  But the branch of Blizzard that created it has been shut down and most of the programmers involved have scattered and moved on to other computer companies.  A few of them are working on Hellgate: London, I believe.

made hundreds of bucks selling the items on ebay.  i even had an automated program that would play the game for me and pick up the good items.  i would turn it on before going to bed, wake up and list the night's "catch" on ebay.  usually one night's worth of items would go for $50-75.  easiest money i've ever made.

Diablo mulitplayer got ruined by hackers.  It is an awesome game though.  I "edited" one of my chars to do amazing damage and have uber health and still died from some super hacked amazon with one bow shot.  After that I just stopped playing.

I had a Barb lvl 90+ with the complete Imortal King Set.

The last time I logged onto battlenet, my computer got so many bugs it would hardly run.  I had to take the damn thing to to have someone clean all the bugs.  I will never play online again.

I've only been into this for about a week, all my free time seems to get wasted playing. Can someone with greater knowledge explain what some of the potions do, and how they are used? How about a link to the ins and outs on strategy?  What is the uber weapon/magic combination? The little book is real hard to read with me old eyes, I seem to read print on a screen better.
